Mimi! Thanks for posting this! OMG! Rick... I recognized him being on 'Battlestar Galactica' as the bad cylon guy called 'Simon'. I honestly didn't recognize him until I saw that YouTube clip you posted. He has changed a lot since his days on 'Magnificient 7'. And I had to giggle when he talked about Eric... once again, the man loves his food! They were around the craft table when they suddenly burst out into gospel songs! LOL!

Hiya everyone! I found this while doing my daily search. It looks like Eric may want to show up this year's 'AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am' Golf tournament. He did attend this back in 2010... and plus, him being a big golf fan... and Tiger Woods scheduled to show up... Well, it wouldn't surprise me if he does show up. Hehe! ;D **** 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-AmThe PGA Tour makes its annual trip to the Monterey Peninsula this week for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. In last year's tournament, the Cinderella story came true, with D.A. Points winning his first PGA Tour event, along with Points and Bill Murray winning the Pro-Am portion of the tournament. Points and Murray are back this year to defend their titles against a strong field which includes past champions such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson. Here is the link to the full field: www.pgatour.com/tournaments/r005/field.htmlThe other major part of this tournament is the Pro-Am portion, where every professional is paired up with 1 amateur for the first 3 rounds. The top 25 teams make the cut and play Pebble Beach on Sunday. Here is a list of the notable names of the amateurs in this year's field: Anthony Anderson, Actor Harris Barton, Former professional football Bill Belichick, Head Coach, Patriots Chris Berman, Sports Analyst Lucas Black, Actor Michael Bolton, Entertainer Matt Cain, San Francisco Giants Don Cheadle, Actor Eric Close, ActorJeffrey Donovan, Actor Tom Dreesen, Comedian Clyde Drexler, Former professional basketball Josh Duhamel, Actor Herman Edwards, Former Professional Football Jackie Flynn, Comedian Kenny G, Musician Andy Garcia, Actor Jim Harbaugh, Head Coach, 49ers Oliver Hudson, Actor Huey Lewis, Musician George Lopez, Comedian/Actor Bill Murray, Actor Chris O’Donnell, Actor Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers Ray Romano, Actor Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys Darius Rucker, Musician Nick Saban, Head Coach, University of Alabama Bob Stoops, Head Coach, University of Oklahoma TobyMac, Musician Clay Walker, Musician This is another tournament where multiple courses are used, as players rotate between 3 different courses for the first 3 rounds: Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and Monterey Peninsula Shore Course. For those playing fantasy golf, this means that the cut is made after the 3rd round on SATURDAY, not the normal cut after play on Friday. TV Times for this tournament are listed below: Thu, 2/9: GOLF 3p - 6p ET Fri, 2/10: GOLF 3p - 6p ET Sat, 2/11: CBS 3p - 6p ET Sun, 2/12: CBS 3p - 6:30p ET So who does everyone like to win this week? I'll start by saying that I think Tiger and Phil both finish in the top-10, but do not win. I'll take Dustin Johnson to take his 3rd title at Pebble Beach. Source: The Hackers Paradise ForumI did go ahead and double checked with the official site... and yes, Eric's name is listed as a scheduled appearance. **** 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am February 6-12The following is the field of celebrities who are scheduled to appear in the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Eric will be there.... Hiya everyone! I found this short interview article with Eric and Keri talking about the 'Every Child Matters' 5K Run/Walk Charity event! The article even has an adorable picture of the two of them together. Makes me want to go 'Aww...' But whoa... Much props to Eric for finishing the 5K run in a little over 19 minutes! Matters' 5K Run/Walk[/glow]Stars Walk for Children of the Caribbean Posted on June 7, 2011 by Dennis Freeman By Dennis J. Freeman Actor Eric Close (Without a Trace) and wife, Keri, came to support the Children of the Caribbean's Every Child Matters 5K Run/Walk at Loyola Marymount./Dennis J. Freeman/news4usonline.comLos Angeles-Hundreds of participants brought their jogging and walking shoes to the Children of the Caribbean’s Every Child Matters 5K Run/Walk at Loyola Marymount to help raise money for education essentials such as pencils, pads and backpacks. Eric Close, best known for his starring role as Martin Fitzgerald on “Without a Trace” on CBS, was one of those individuals who got early Saturday morning to do his part in the morning-long event, which also featured musical acts and other activities. Close said it felt good to come out and support the event even though it’s been a while since he last did a 5K run. “I run, but not when I try to get to the finish line as fast as I can,” said Close, crossed the line at the end of the race in a little over 19 minutes. “It was a good turnout. There were a lot of people. I was really stoked to see that. We’re out just to bring some awareness to the charity and get people involved. Hopefully, a lot of kids will be going to school with their backpacks.” Based in Beverly Hills, Children of the Caribbean is a nonprofit organization founded to enrich the lives of underserved children of the Caribbean. One of the ways the organization is doing that is trying to generate enough funds for children who are lacking basic and fundamental school supplies with the fundraising effort. Close, whose wife, Keri, sits on the organization’s board, said this is what helping others and giving back is all about. Education is a global thing, he said. “Education is important,” Close said. “In whatever you’re learning, education is going to help you. When there are people who don’t have that opportunity-it really helps when the private industry and people get involved. You can’t depend on the government to help you. That’s when people have to come together and dig into their wallets and their time to contribute. That’s how things really happen and get started. “I think people often have a perception that the Caribbean is wealthy and that’s where everybody goes to go sailing on their yachts and lay on the beach. What they don’t realize is that is kind of the resort image. But outside of that people are lacking just basic things they need; healthcare, education, shelter. People need to be aware of that. We need to know that there are people in need. It’s just not just here in the United States; there is a need everywhere.” The event was the first time that Jamaican native Rose Lanam said she had got up to do. It was well worth the sacrifice, she said. “This was wonderful,” Lanam said. “It’s my first time trying to run or walk. It was absolutely wonderful. It was a lovely experience. It was for a great cause. As a Jamaican representing my part of the Caribbean, I think it is wonderful that we can represent all of the Caribbean and help all of the children.” Source: news4usonline

Hiya everyone! This pop up today. Two old YouTube clips of Eric... the first one is of Eric reading a story for the SAG Storyline Online. I'm not sure when this was dated, except it was around fall/winter time. However, you can hear him having a cold there... but I love his French accent he does there! And if you look closely, you can see that he did this at his home... I think! Hehe! As for the second clip, that one is from 2003 where Eric admits that he's bad at golfing! LOL! I don't think I have this posted on here yet... at least I haven't seen those two clips yet... So here we go. Enjoy! Especially the storyline one! **** 1. When Pigasso Met MootisseClip Description: Published on May 21, 2012 by StorylineOnline By Nina Laden. Read by Eric Close. What begins as a neighborly overture between a painterly pig and an artsy cow escalates into a monumental modern art mess! Before you can say paint-by-numbers, the two artists are calling each other names and building a fence between them. But it turns out that what divides them also reunites them. 2. Eric Close Admits He's Bad at Golf Clip Description: Published on May 22, 2012 by snapsnap Eric Close says he doesn't think he can lend any golf skills but wants to lend whatever help he can for HIV research at the 2003 EGPAF Celebrity Golf Classic.

Hiya everyone! It looks like Eric was having a little winter fun this past weekend. But it was all for a good cause. Aww... ;D [glow=red,2,300]Eric at Celebrity Skifest[/glow]Celebrity Ski Race at Deer Valley Benefits Clean Waterways Deer Valley » Actors, producers and Olympic skiers go head-to-head to benefit Riverkeeper. By Brian Maffly | The Salt Lake Tribune First Published Dec 08 2012 05:20 pm • Last Updated Dec 08 2012 11:26 pm Deer Valley • When it comes to Alpine ski racing, size matters. In a head-to-head race against fellow three-time Olympian Tommy Moe on Saturday, Heidi Voelker was dominating the heavier skier for the first half of the dual-slalom course. But the course flattened midway down and Voelker helplessly watched the pull of gravity carry Moe to the finish a half second ahead of her. "That 80 pounds helps," said Voelker after her performance in the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest. The annual event falls on the ski resort’s opening day to benefit Riverkeeper Alliance, a global network of groups devoted to safeguarding local waterways, and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team. "We’re about protecting our waterways and promoting them so they will be swimmable, fishable and drinkable — the central tenets of the Clean Water Act," said Pete Nichols, the alliance’s national director. The umbrella organization, founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., provides legal support to 203 groups, including Moab-based Living Rivers, which serves as the Colorado’s riverkeeper, and a new Iraqi group devoted to the Tigris. "They are gracious hosts," Nichols said of Deer Valley Resort. "We use events like this to promote our cause and raise funds. It’s a good opportunity to get the word out on the importance of clean water." Saturday’s race drew 20 actors and producers from film and television, such as Larry David from "Curb Your Enthusiasm," director Bobby Farrelly and Eric Close of "Nashville." The racers were divided into four teams, each led by an Olympic skier. Joining Voelker and Moe were twins Steve and Phil Mahre, who both medaled at the 1984 Winter Games. Actor Dylan Bruno, who raced growing up in Vermont, provided the backbone of Steve Mahre’s team in his eighth appearance in the celebrity event. "We have some history here. Rivalries have developed," said Bruno, who portrays FBI sleuth Colby Granger in the crime drama "Numb3rs." His rival is Close and organizers made sure those two squared off in the preliminary round. In the final round, Steve Mahre’s team D defeated Moe’s team B after Farrelly edged "Entourage" actress Perrey Reeves by one one-hundredth of a second.Source: The Salt Lake TribuneAnd here are some pictures of Eric at the skifest. **** Celebs Head to Utah for Celebrity Skifest by Kaitlin Riordan KMOV.com Posted on December 8, 2012 at 2:33 PM Credit: Getty Images PARK CITY, UT - DECEMBER 08: Actors Perrey Reeves, Cheryl Hines and Eric Close attend the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest at Deer Valley Resort on December 8, 2012 in Park City, Utah.
