I really liked this episode. The beginning of the episode scared the crap out of me. I nearly fell out of my chair when Katie is screaming very loudly when the priest is taking her evil soul or something like that but I am happy that this is a Martin centered episode. It means more Martin time . Haven't seen a Martin episode since 'The Road Home'.

Also a very good episode for my opinion, all always like it if it's Martin centric. But two things irritates me: First: Until now I ever has the feeling, that Danny is catholic and not Martin and second: I thougt Martin was in Seattle when he works for white collar and not in NY. But in this episode nobody remarks, that Kathie and her Familiy haven't lived somewhere other than in NY.

Hmm! This episode is going to air on ION TV tonight at 8pm. And based on the numerous posts for this episode... I think I might tune in for this since it has a lot of good Martin scenes in it.

Did you get to see this, Cindy? I would be interested to hear your opinion. In some ways there are many good things about this episode - centred around Martin and there are instances of the old team dynamic but there are a kot of things in it which puzzle me too. Maybe I picked it up wrong but I thought Martin had been white collar in Seattle but the MP who knew him had been in the NY office. Supposedly then he had been working there for some time. At first I thought he was being set up because to not remember her suggesting he doesn't really communicate and has a superficial relationship with his co-workers just doesn't tie in with the character of the Martin we know. The final scene with Bonnie then emphasises this is what was being suggested. I know they quite often didn't cross the ts and dot the is but the interplay between Martin and Sam about office relationships shows they have moved on and are back to friendly colleagues. There have been a few (VERY few) M/S moments since the end of S3 but I can't believe they could have reached this stage without some sort of clearing of the air. It doesn't make sense to just reach this situation out of thin air. If they had even just had a few words between them saying that they were glad they had a long dicussion and could put the past in context.............. The only person the missing girl appeared to be in contact with after she disappeared was her ex-boss so where was she all those hours before turning up back home? Also are we to assume that it was she who murdered the woman who was bludgeoned to death? And why couldn't they have ended it with Martin leaving the office after chatting to Bonnie - no as usual the last scene has to go to Jack.

ercheultimate,
Good news and bad news... I had a bad case of power outage that night when this episode due a very bad case of thunderstorm there... So I didn't get to see it from the beginning...
But I did manage to catch the show 20 minutes in... and watched it... just to see what's going on. I'm planning on catching it again when it airs...
But you're right... about the whole Seattle thing. Martin was at White Collar before in joined the NY Office... so I don't really how they could have coorperate her storyline without making him look like superficial there...
Off all the people, I always have thought Martin would be the one to take an extra effort to get to know someone... even if just by daily passing and whatnot... Seriously, sometimes I think the writers just change things around to fit it into the storyline...
And that brings me back to the whole M/S angle next... I really, really, really hated what they have done with it... No real closure... no nothing...
Heck, even when the writers finally allowed them to be together in Season 3... It wasn't that much screen time either... if you think about it... especially compared to all the nauseating Danny and Elena and Jack and Anne crap they have been throwing at us viewers... That should have M/S right there... But no... we didn't get that...
Sometimes I feel like we have been cheated big time... especially considering where they are heading with this...
M/S should have given a second chance... especially after I read ine one the threads that M/S should have hooked up for real from one of the Season 1 DVD commentaries...
Argh...
And yes... this epsiode should have ended up with Martin leaving the office... them cutting to Jack and Anne scene was really irrelevant at that point if you ask me... either do that scene before or leave it out.

Martin in Seattle? Yes, it's true, but coulnd't he have been in NY before? Anyway, it's irrelevant to me.
I loved everything in this episode, including the Jack/Anne part, I loved all of it. It is intense, tragic, incredibly well played (ah, Dee Wallace, the sweet mom in "ET"!!!), it has the right dark atmosphere, the right music, the right everything. I love the way Martin feels emotionally involved, I love when Sam teases him about a hidden relationship or Vivian's warm look when she tells him, "Go home". And Danny with his quick chattering. I like the way Jack and Anne relationship develops and I think it was a good choice to end the episode with them, it helped ease the tension a little bit.
And I love what the story is about - people we meet every day without seeing them. It happens to everybody, can you deny it? And we don't realize it until something happens and we are forced to turn our eyes and see. Great, absolutely great.
