Academy Award Nominee and Tony Award Nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Color of Money," "Man of La Mancha") Returns
Connor Trinneer ("Star Trek: Enterprise") and Marina Sirtis ("Star Trek: The Next Generation") Guest Star
"Fade-Away" -- The team searches for a 17-year-old high school basketball star who vanishes the night he scores the winning basket at a game that secures his team's position in the state championships, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Sunday, Dec. 10 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Jonathan Kaplan, one of the series' co-executive producers, directed the episode, written David Amann, also a co-executive producer, and Greg Walker, one of the series' executive producers. The script is based on a story by Amann.
Academy Award nominee and Tony Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Color of Money," "Man of La Mancha") returns as Jack's girlfriend and colleague, FBI agent Anne Cassidy. Connor Trinneer ("Star Trek: Enterprise") and Marina Sirtis ("Star Trek: The Next Generation") guest star as the missing Ted Soros' basketball coach and mother.
Ted's working-class immigrant parents explain that Ted had become an emancipated minor in order to join another school district's top-ranked team that attracts the notice of college recruiters. However, the agents wonder if Ted's real objective was to move out of the home of his heavy-drinking, wife-beating father, who may have had a role in his disappearance. The agents also try to decipher why Ted's coach and fellow players are being less than candid about him, and they look into why Ted asked his attorney uncle to clarify when minors get tried as adults for felonies. Meanwhile, Anne delivers some sad news to Jack.

Just a heads up, it looks like WaT will be on later. Whatever comes on before Cold Case ran long. It's 9:30 central time here and WaT usually comes on at 9, but Cold Case is still on.

Jack and Viv own this show. Crappy writing on the personal front and shallow treatment of the actual story of the MP, but the guest stars ruled. MP and the rape victim were very sympathetic. Martin and Sam were wonderful together. They really still dig each other, I don't care what anyone says. They look great together and I think when they smile at each other, there is this chemistry between them that is unlike any other pairing on the show. It's endearing and cute.

OKay, Tonights show was good. I liked it and I felt for the missing kid. So many dreams and wanting to do the right thing only to be beaten up for his efforts. As for the loss of the baby :-( It wasn't as bad as the spoilers read for the scenes but darn it, it was still sad. And they tried to postdate this show by showing it as still being fall in New York with fall follage on the trees and not bare leaving us to think this happened like late sept or early october making Anne less pregnant than what she should be if the story took place in the middle of Dec. as it is now. One knitpick, if a woman has a D and C there is no doctor on this earth that will say she should be dragging luggage or flying anywhere the same day/night.
I posted the rest of my thoughts on this show in the spoiler area for this episodes since it may contain a spoiler. Lori

I liked how J/A ended-- it wasn't too intense and neither of them really fought it.
I don't anticipate her returning though... that woman is so bruised it's not even funny. All I wanted was to give her a big hug when she was crying... God knows she made me cry.

This woman just had a 'procedure' and yet she came home..which was after 6.... had some sort of discussion w/ Jack that lead to her leaving and then packed her bags and left. I mean.. she couldn't wait until morning?? And Jack didn't even help!!! He just stood there looking at the window Tsk, tsk. Yeah, I know.. it wouldn't have had the same effect playing that song and having him on street level .. it was more effective to have him up in that window looking down at her. Okay.... I was on the fence before about Poppy and the Pregnant Thing.. But, I think after last night, it's pretty obvious something is going on.. she sat behind tables.. when she was walking toward Viv, Viv's chair was blocking her... something is definitely up. Doesn't she have some big storyline coming up? It's going to be interesting to see how they handle that... unless they were filmed way in advance.

I think this was a good episode, I'm pretty pleased. This episode, I was more interested in the MP story than I was the office happenings. I must have just skimmed over the spoilers, because I truly was not expecting the turns in this plot. I don't know...it was just good and the guest actors did a great job. I felt for everyone involved. Whoever played Ted Soros (or whatever his name was) is a hottie...anybody know who he is??
Jack and Anne....you know, I could really care less about this ship. Although I think Anthony is an outstanding actor, Jack is my least favorite character on the show. But damn. I really felt bad for him and Anne. That is just a horrible thing. And when they flashed back to them on the happy on the couch, it just broke my heart. I wish we could have seen the dialogue that lead up to her leaving.
So.....do you think Poppy would like a toy or clothes for her baby shower gift?? I think it is so obvious now that she is pregnant, I wonder why her camp just doesn't announce it. If you look in the scene when she walks to the table, just before Viv's chair blocks her, I think you can see the outline of her lower belly pushing against the shirt...at least that is what I think I saw.
Elena/Roselyn has the best hair. It is so shiny and beautiful. It is the first thing I notice about her when she gets on screen. Martin/Eric - yay! Keep letting the hair grow, just a little bit more! Still hot though.

from the clips i saw this seems like a good episode glad the whole jack and anne thing is over really didnt like how the writers focused on them so much maybe now we will get to see this big storyline for Sam we heard all about
As for the Poppy being pregnant the more episodes i see the more i think that they are trying to cover up something in the scene with Viv and Danny i love how they get Danny to slid over in his chair blocking our view of Sam as she walks in then Viv's chair covering her stomach it's def more than just a coincidence

Am I the only person who thinks that the J/A stuff made no sense? It's as if there were some additional scenes that filled in the gaps of the story that they just left out, so the ending sort of came out of nowhere. I wasn't really that interested, so I didn't care very much, but if they're going to write personal stories, then tell them well and completely, not just in bits and pieces. I just found the writing very strange.

Maybe they left it incomplete so there can still be a chance between them... Not giving reasons or explanations may leave for a possible come back from Anne... I don't know, I guess I just want J/A not to break up so much, that I'm trying to give this kind of reasons.

It's called "dropped story-lines". This show is notorious for it. They've dropped many story-lines in the past why are we so surprised about this one?
This is still a good show... I'm just tried of getting myself invested in story-lines only to have them dropped. Martin's drug addiction is one of the classics. One day he was hooked.. the next day he wasn't. And if you blinked, you missed the one line reference to it in a earlier episode this season. But, I'll still watch.. last night had a lot of adorable Martin. ;D

It was an okay episode Martin should hurry up and grow his hair, when the light shines on it a certian way it looks like he's going bald .. lol Vivian, Vivian has GOT to let her hair down. It's always pulled back into a pony tail or a bun so tightly, I think it makes her forehead seem endless, I really liked her when she had bangs AND the missing person was hot!

I liked the ep. The twists with the MP were good. Martin and Viv always are wonderful together. I was glad that the MP wasn't the one who raped the woman. He'd had a terrible life and it was great to see him trying to do the right thing by helping her even if it meant hurting his friend. A rare and good man. Glad it was a happy ending for him. Good to see Martin being the hero and finding him too. Jack usually gets to do that. In this one J/A made me cry. I’ve personally been in her place three times so it was really close to home for me. The loss of a child is not an easy thing for either person in the relationship. It would have been nice to see J/A work through this like the mature adults they are supposed to be. There is no way Anne would have been leaving in a cab that night! That was medically off as others have said. It’s one of my pet peeves about TV. I also can't believe they just ended their relationship like that. Here Jack is so worried about her and she's crying about how awful it was then poof, she's getting in a cab Yep, the chair scene with Poppy was the most obvious one yet. Last weeks box was a good one too but we won't I have a feeling we won't see her standing often this season. Something is going on. We can’t have Sam pregnant so it will be interesting to see how this progresses.
