Best episode so far this year. I actually was able to watch it from beginning to end.
That said, it was still just a little better than okay. Loved Danny and Elena, wondered about Viv's attitude toward the female minister, thankful there wasn't an over abundance of Jack, loved how relaxed and happy Martin looked and acted, and wished they had resolved CLEARLY that the young man wasn't reaching for a gun.

I am really liking this season .The case was good and the MS was sympatetic.Danny and Elena were great with her being there for him .This is a balanced relationship.I sometimes with that Martin and Sam had more moments liek this.It was nice to see other caracters having screentime instead of always Jack in the front burner.

Last night all I could think about was...how I can wait to see how Sam starts telling people...and now I keep worrying about the promo for next week. They apparently wanted to lead us to believe it would have a J/S slant.
As for the keeping track of Danny's history, I agree that someone on the show should be keeping track of that stuff. How can anything be plausible if you have to think really hard if he could literally do everything he was supposed to do before his current job.
I liked the E/D scene because even if Elena seemed to be stupid not to ask earlier, it seemed like the semblance of a real relationship. Go figure!
As for Sam telling people, I'm holding out for her to tell 3 people. Of course, I may be setting myself up for disappointment, but it seems like it would make sense that Sam have to tell Elena why she is sick. Sam then tells someone "at a table?" which I don't think is in Jack's office. Did anybody else see this?

Actually, he just new Martin's sponsor from AA. Danny never said that he knew him from NYPD, just that the sponsor was an NYPD cop. The time line still bothers me though. I guess Danny could be 36, if he went to law school after college. But I honestly think the writers have just forgotten about Danny going to law school. Oh. Thanks. But I could have sworn that Danny had been with the NYPD before the FBI. Isn't that how he met Carlos? Weren't they partners or something?

ok i quite liked the eppy!! No Jack though which was nice for a change. I thought the whole Danny thing was a bit random the way it seemed to really play on his mind and in the end nothing happened after all!!! sam looked really weird at the end, when she was looking at the test, me and my friend were like what have they done with her!! I havent seen the promo for next week i cant find it anywhere and it is really bugging me, if anybody has is can you post it, or im me and tell me how to find it. thanks!!!

It was Elena who was with the NYPD before the FBI. Okay.. so Elena and Carlos were NYPD.... how does Danny know them? I thought Carlos and Danny were partners too? I thought this was a pretty good episode ... until the end. It seemed rushed. And Sammy's pregnant.. Yippee! I was thinking that if there are any new people that started watching this season or last.. they would have NO clue that Martin and Sam had a relationship. None what so ever. I will bet that there is no Martin reveal about the pregnancy. There will be scenes that will indicate that he's known forever and he's a-okay with it. Which is fine, if he was in some sort of normal relationship right now and is completely over Sam... but wait.. that's right...Martin has no life. His entire life is getting up and putting a suit on and heading over to the FBI building where he does his robotic role playing and I guess he goes home alone and gets up and does the exact same thing the next day. Sigh. Such a total waste of a great actor. Oh well.

It was never established how Carlos and Danny knew each other. We only heard that they'd been friends for ten years. My guess is that they met through a case or something where the FBI and NYPD worked together. And then Danny met Elena through Carlos.
But that's just a guess. I'm sure the WAT writers haven't even thought about how they met. They don't really care about providing a cohesive backstory.

I want to see his apartment (women have this need to contextualize their fantasies...) and it's time he moves on. Or what? After being with Samantha Spade no man can be happy ever again? Is she *that* good? Ah... anyhoo... I guess we'll just have to wait...

Thanks for putting up the preview. Sam sure is all smiles when she looks at Martin. It's got to be Eleana she's telling she's pregnant and when Sam walks into Jack's office, it's like they purposely play up the age difference. He looks OLD in that shot.
Getting back to this episode, however, I have to say I get the sense that Danny, Elena and Viv all have real lives and more than that, real souls. They write and play Martin, Jack and Sam as being somewhat empty inside and I guess that's what makes their stuff seem so unsatisfying.

Thanks for the promo...I've been looking for it.
Definitely she tells Elena after the "I"m sorry, I got to sit down for a second." and good thing for her, she's pretty aware of the gravity of the situation (a hint of adulthood here)
Unfortunately, my interpretation of her look as [what I think her walking towards Jack's office...although that could be careful editing and she could be looking at someone else at a completely different time in the episode, it's been done before on other shows] but she's looking awful cuties, coy, flirty as she's walking and the next thing they show us is Jack looking up...
Alas, as I post this, only 107 hours until it begins (Hey, I used my fingers...several times to get that number)

thanks for posting that promo. even though im not that into the whole idea of the pregnancy i am kinda excited to see it all play out on thursday!! i really hope that jack wont become "a knight in shining armor" and then they work in the whole JSR im hoping that he will just respond as the boss. then martin can step in but unfortunatly i dont think theres very a good chance for that

Sam has daddy issues, which is probably why she's so fixated on Jack. Or maybe the writers ahve forgotten that part, too? How can you write plausible character growth in when you're constantly ignoring that there is a backstory to all these people?
