Ohh I'd love to see Martin working with Viv on a different task force type thing! That'd be awesome, and give him more screen time definitely! ... But then that could lead up to Danny/Elena and Jack/Samantha working together in their little pairs... nasty. But that would be great. Martin and Vivian do have a great connection and I love seeing scenes with them. That's a great idea honi! And having Jack's ass suspended for a little while couldn't hurt

I just got around to watching it... work and drinking took over... did have a mild chuckle and had to rewind a couple of times as they jumped out of a Porsche... not once but it was there again in the woods!!! not sure FBI issue Porsche has standard cars!! certainly no feds i've come across in NY...
if you pay attention to the random product placements you can tell this was shot earlier than last weeks episodes as not so many random IPhone shots... they had normal mobiles this week! sorry Im counting shows that are over using IPhones... working in Advertising I find it quite interesting (sorry nerd alert)

I've been doing the same thing! So nice to know I'm not the only one. I can tell you that when reading script sides for TV shows that it's funny to see how often they make specific references to products - iPhones are quite common lately. I don't know why they insist on placing products in my favorite shows. It's not like we are so gullible. I was complaining about it the other day to my friend as she sipped her Starbucks coffee and I drank my Diet Coke while shopping for Uggs and Crocs. She was ranting about it so much I had to pretend to get a call on my iPhone when I was really listening to my new favorite song, "1234" by Feist... ;D

I just got to watch this episode and I loved everything about it. Because I didn't read everyone's post I wont say that I agree or disagree with you all, but, from my own pov I really think M/S is over (so sad). Maybe it is just me (probably) but, was that a little Martin/ Lucy moment? Could be. Thought Jack was great in this episode, not enough of Danny, Viv getting her own task force is going to be fantastic, even if it is for only one case. For a change I didn't have a problem with Elaina, usually I have trouble understanding what she is saying. The story, while tragic, was I felt very powerful. Overall I loved, loved, loved this episode.

Ok, first of all, Sam's hand: simply goodbye.
Now Jack…
I won't talk about Feds because I have no clue about them but at the same time cops are more or less the same all over the world. If you raped you daughter, we're not gonna be nice with you. If you killed your abusive husband while he was beating the crap out of your kids, we'll talk to the DA to help you. If you're a junkie hooker, we'll take you downtown. If you're a single mom struggling to send your kids to school and you happen to be a hooker, chances are we "won't see you" working. And as everywhere else in the world, if you kill one of us, you're dead; as simple and as crude as that. I know some of those things are not by the book but I'm not saying what's right or wrong, I'm just saying the way things are.
Still, as everybody else, we have limits. Or at least common sense. It's no breaking news that cops get physical with suspects but for god's sake! We do not do it in the bathroom of the station, or department or headquarters!
We do it in the alleys. And I say "we" not because I have done it or because I think it's ok, I say "we" because I'm almost a cop and I've seen some of my superiors doing it. BUT and this is a big but, we stop ourselves the moment it gets too much and let me be clear on this one, we don't stop ourselves because we care about the physical integrity of the guy who sent his thirteen-year old virgin daughter to Italy to be a prostitute, we stop because we don't want to ruin the case. Once again, I'm not saying it's right, I'm just stating the facts.
Also, and this is something that's gonna sound cruel to some of you but trust me, it is the pure truth; people with military or police training know how to hit someone without leaving marks. I guess Jack missed that class…
I mean , c'mon! let's be honest, even Jack Malone would get at least a slap on the wrists after doing what he did. I know, I know, he's Jack and no one messes with him …Ooohhh!... so scared!.... but everything has a limit. We may punch someone in the stomach in a dark alley or accidentally twist an arm while cuffing a suspect but we don't put people's heads inside the toilets we use!! He's Jack Malone not Jack Bauer who shoots guys in the interrogation room. Has Kiefer joined WaT's writing staff or what?
Ah…
Anyway, enough violence for a day. I'll go watch "The Wizard of Oz" with my academy classmates and I'm not kidding, we're really watching it.
Finally, I'm sorry if I offended anyone with what I said but it's the truth and no matter how much we hate how things work, sometimes it feels as if it was impossible to change the world. No matter what we do. Sometimes it seems as if the whole world was a hostile place full of crappy people. Then of course, we have some good days and we learn to cherish them.
I guess Dorothy was right, "There's no place like home"

I have to admit I liked this episode too, though the rape scene was absolutely horrible, I turned the sound off and looked away during that one. I think Jack getting angry with that boy and shoving his head in the toilet was completely appropriate! Yes he should learn to control himself better, especially seeing as the boy's father was an attorney (apparently) that wouldn't go well for the end of the case, getting the boy charged and everything if he wasn't treated well by the authorities (though who would care about his treatment, right?). I think Jack does have a bit of a temper problem, but I can understand it here. He has daughters too. He was reacting like the father did, wanting to tear the guy's head off. I'm honestly glad he did it and we could see that side of Jack again. To me it's got nothing to do with him and the nailgun (though I have a feeling that's in the next eppy ) it's just him pissed off that boy's can treat women with such disrespect. Very sad outcome in the end, especially for the mother, four months pregnant to a daughter and stressed out of her mind (and great to see the Bartlet's middle daughter back on the screen... the mother was Ellie Bartlet in 'The West Wing' for all you kids playing along). And go Viv go! Hehehe I love seeing her with her own case to work with other people and demanding things of Jack. It's FINALLY her time to shine.

I just had a terrible thought after reading posts. If Viv does get her own team (task force) and it becomes perminent, and if Sam is put on her team, will this leave the door open for Jack and Sam? Poppy did say we would be surprised at who the baby's father is. Just a horrible thought that came to me while reading what everyone wrote in regards to this episode.

Hmm not sure! I don't see Samantha wanting to work for anyone but Jack tho And honestly, right now, I'm not trusting anything Poppy says anymore, the girl has a tendency to lie and put the fans through the ringer.

FINALLY we get new episodes I think this was an ok episode. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. I'm just glad they're showing us something new so I'd probably take anything at the moment. Though I didn't quite get why they wanted to put Jacks "I was tortured"-flashback in that one scene. It might have played out, but somehow it felt out of place to me. They just tossed it there and that was it. Whatever, welcome back WaT ;D
