I thought it was a good episode. When i heard Danny tell Martin about wanting to change his name and start over, the word "continuity" screamed at me.
In the last scene with Hannah, Jack said, "Yes, Chief". I thought it was an odd thing to say. Then I rememered: Episode is titled Chameleon. ALP made a movie called Chameleon. Anthony's character's name was Will Serling (Life Rules). In the movie, Anthony's character called Kevin Pollacks character Chief throughout the movie.
I love those little bits of nonsense!

I enjoyed the episode. It was nice to see Hannah back. Not sure why they felt the need to make Martin very negative toward the MP. Much more of Martin than I expected. Less of Sam than in recent eps. Finally a little more Danny. All in all....I give it a thumbs up. Too many choices for the poll tho..lol

Anthony's character's name was Will Serling (Life Rules). In the movie, Anthony's character called Kevin Pollacks character Chief throughout the movie. I love those little bits of nonsense! Me too! Thanks for that trivia. It's totally something I wouldn't know if you hadn't told me. I mean, you didn't tell me, you posted it to the board... Anyway, you get the gist. Thank you. I enjoyed the episode. It was nice to see Hannah back. Not sure why they felt the need to make Martin very negative toward the MP. Much more of Martin than I expected. Less of Sam than in recent eps. Finally a little more Danny. All in all....I give it a thumbs up. Too many choices for the poll tho..lol Thanks Deanne - very succinct comments. ;D As for the Poll, I thought since it was EC directed it might be fun to mix it up. But I have noted your comment and will take it under consideration next week. I liked the episode (and yes, I admit to being biased). I liked that EC used a lot of exterior shots and made sure to show the campus filled with people walking around. I hate it when they show places supposedly based in NYC with hardly anyone around. And you could totally tell he was having fun with the camera work and wanted to try out all sorts of techniques. Lots of high angle crane shots. The MP case was a little hum drum but it kept me interested enough and I loved that there were several team moments talking around the bullpen. I admit I really liked the re-introduction of Hannah. She has grown up so much since we last saw her! I like that she even sorta looks like Jack - I mean, considering she's an actress who was hired when she was what, 8? I even liked Jack in this one. I liked his line when talking to the rapist guy, "Yeah, the whole world is out to get you and they sent me as their representative." Anyhoo, I think Hannah will be a good influence in his life. Lots of good Danny stuff with subtle references back to his own life! Sharon, you called it: continuity! See, that's all I need, a little comment here or there and I am a happy camper. As for Deanne's comment, Not sure why they felt the need to make Martin very negative toward the MP. Me either. I found it especially interesting since EC directed it. He was willing to be the 'bad guy' in this eppy and while I wish he had been more lenient, I do think it was in character. It harked back to his early years in the bureau when he was quite judgy judge based on his own privileged background. Plus, and this is the most important thing, it allowed for a great little Danny/Martin exchange at the end. "Tofu burgers..." ;D Oh, I also liked the Danny/Viv bit near the end when they were talking about where John might be headed. Felt like old times. Final note, loved, loved that EC used the song "The Weight" by The Band. It's one of my faves. Final, final note: I think it was Annie2000 who commented that the PTB of the show should let the actor's write the episodes and I think it should be extended to directing as well.

There's so much I want to say, but I'm way too tired to really get into it tonight. Suffice it to say that I absolutely LOVED the Martin/Danny scene at the end. It was like old times and reminded me why I like that relationship best on the show! I hope we see more of those.
Why was Martin the "bad guy" in this? We have to remember that WAT is now plot-driven, not character-driven. They needed a "pro" agent and a "con" agent, and the writers probably picked Martin's name from a hat, lol. And I did think that he sympathised with the MP at the end and would have treated him fairly. I think that he was actually in the right in this. It's just that WAT loves to break the rules lately, and it was Danny's turn tonight.
And I thought that Martin looked hot, lol. Really good.
More tomorrow.

I wonder if we have EC to think for that last D/M scene? It seems too much of a coincidence that after 4 seasons we actually hear some reference to Danny's background.
And even though Sam wasn't in the eppy that much.. I just wanted to comment on how much I like her hair when it's pulled back. Much more professional looking.

I loved it ! I was surprised to see a lot of Martin because Eric was directing but anyway...that was a good episode. the MP was a cutie, don't you think? lol. I loved to see a lot of Danny , my second favorite character with Miss Delgado. The Martin/Danny scene at the end was great !!! Roselyn was so beautiful, loved her hairstyle!! And the Hanna/Jack thing didn't bother me...that was cute Good dynamic , good episode, congrats for directing Eric! The only thing I missed was...a cute D/E interaction ... like a kissing -moment in the break room? AW.
