Do you notice something interesting here? Not a few hours ago I was complaining about the lack of support... and WHAM! We got a tweet from Eric talking about working on set not the day before... Doesn't that make you all go 'Hmm!' Here's the tweet again... same as the one Mimi has already posted above but I thought I repost it again. Hiya everyone! For those of you aren't interested in watching this, but still want to know what's going on... Well, we're in luck. I found 2 reviews for this particular episode... and I have to say... I'm glad I didn't watch it. Eric's character sounded like a real sleezeball... and heck, the reviewer for Zap2It couldn't even remember his character's name... and thus, using his name to talk about his character's relationship with someone else. I hate to say it... but that righ tthere, speaks volume to me. Definitely not a very memorable role. However, for those who did end up watching this... What are your thoughts and feelings on this? [glow=red,2,300]Eric On 'A.H.S.'Ep. 1.03 - 'Murder House'[/glow]'American Horror Story': The Maid, The Mad Scientist, Ben's Wife And His LoverBy Andrea Reiher October 20, 2011 12:18 AM ET The latest "American Horror Story" episode definitely was not as scary as the first two episodes, but it really added some nice layers to the storylines we've seen already and has us curious about several things too. It turns out the original owner of the house was an alcoholic Dr. Frankenstein who started performing back-alley abortions at the urging of his socialite wife, Nora, to earn extra money. Massive Headwound Nora is now creepily haunting Vivien and her unborn baby. Speaking of previous owners, the 1983 owners turn out to be a man (Eric Close) and Constance, presumably married. Close sleeps with Moira the maid, then tries to rape her, and they both get shot by Constance for their troubles. Moira is now trapped/tied to the house, as her corpse is buried in the backyard. Oh, and speaking of the backyard grave (the back graveyard?), Moira has a new buddy - Hayden, who showed up all boil-your-bunny crazy. Burned Man Larry took a page from Willow Rosenberg and beat Hayden to death with a shovel (a vague disclaimer is nobody's friend). And the family now has a couple reasons not to leave the house. First off, they can't really afford it because the Contrivance Investor lost all their money. Secondly, Violet kinda blackmails Vivien into staying, threatening to run away if they leave the house. Thoughts & Tidbits- Interesting that they chose to show on-screen the Sal Mineo murder. - Love that Burned Man wanted Ben to read from "The Odd Couple" with him. - Tate in the window of the house - he's gotta be the dead son of Constance and Eric Close, right? He looks like them quite a bit. - Alby from "Big Love" was creepy enough on "Big Love." Now he's a crazy drunk Frankenstein abortion doctor? Poor Matt Ross. - Do you think the police officer saw Moira as young and hot or old and scary? I think that could go either way. What do you think of episode 3, "American Horror Story" fans? And for extra fun, check out our gallery of "American Horror Story" movie references/homages. Source: Zap2ItAnd here's another so-so review from Accidental Sexiness. The review pretty much says the same thing... that this episode was loosing its focus and 'horror' touch. Somehow I'm not surprised to hear that since that is Murphy's signature right there. **** REVIEW: American Horror Story “Murder House”By Neal– October 20, 2011 Okay FX we need to talk. As a big horror fan I really wanted American Horror Story to be something special. I longed for a show that had me glued to the television quivering with fear each week but it just isn’t working out. What gives? The cast is great and the haunted house is big and spooky when lit a certain way, but last night’s episode “Murder House” was just a train wreck. I don’t mean the sort of big awesome Super 8 train wreck that makes you go “whoa” but a slow and deliberate derailment where you can see the school bus full of orphans holding kittens stuck on the tracks but can’t do anything to help them. “Murder House” started out okay. The back-story of the doctor sewing bat wings on dead pigs while the theme from Bram Stoker’s Dracula blasts in his basement that then turned to cheap abortions to support his shrieking wife was creepy enough but then Tara’s crazy drunk mom from True Blood showed up in Ben’s office and things started going awry. I get that Moira drugged him but why? It made no sense to me at all. Is she trying to destroy his career because she hates men who cheat based on the fact that she herself slept with Constance’s husband? At least we know now why Connie put a bullet through her face. Old Moira just wants to move into the light so why is she hanging around? Is Slutty Moira keeping her there? Is this her purgatory for being a lonely and horny maid? Why? Why? Why? Ben (Dylan McDermott) certainly doesn’t need Moira’s help destroying his life. He has already lied to Viv about the nature of his trip back to Boston and lied about their money situation which helps explain why they can’t just up and move out of the house. And Viv has made it very clear if she catches him lying again she’s outtie. The situation gets worse when Hayden shows up at his house with the news she has decided to keep the baby. As soon as those words came out of her mouth I said “she’s dead” and then WHAM…Larry the Burn Guy (Denis O’Hare) relocated her face with a shovel and they buried the poor girl in the hole that Ben was randomly digging earlier in the episode. But even that was no surprise. When Larry was hitting Ben up for money before Hayden showed up I thought “he’s gonna end up doing Ben a big favor and then blackmailing him for the cash”. All this has been done before! At least Vivien (Connie Britton) seems to have some sense about her. She is all about getting the hell out and actually took Violet out to look at some apartments. But Violet isn’t too keen on moving and threatens to run away if she is forced to leave the house. I’m guessing she under Tate’s spell and with his pouty lips and surly demeanor who wouldn’t be? I think I understand the root of her irrational reaction but the writers are not doing a very good job connecting the dots. And speaking of Tate (Evan Peters) I still think he is Constance’s dead son. Tate is the least of Viv’s worries though. Between their money woes, the Murder House tour and her doctor’s orders that she not move while pregnant it is looking less likely she’ll get the family out before her demon spawn is born. She seemed awfully pleased with the gazebo Ben bought and erected to cover Hayden’s grave at the end though despite their money troubles. I guess she was hoping it would help sell the place. I’ve heard American Horror Story compared to The Amityville Horror if it had been directed by David Lynch, but I think that is too much praise for this mess. I’ve seen scarier episodes of Supernatural and I bailed on that show years ago. I can’t figure out what is going on with American Horror Story half the time because the world is so inconsistent. Why does the dead wife of the creepy doctor show up with a gunshot wound to her head but no one can see the hole in Moira’s head? And why can everyone see some of the ghosts but others see none of them, but the ones that see them don’t think anything of it? The story may be a poorly executed rehash of a dozen other stories but the stellar acting by Connie Britton and Jessica Lange makes it somewhat compelling. I say somewhat because my attention started drifting along about the time Ben woke up in the front yard with blood on his hands. I found Angry Birds to be more interesting after that but I think I’ll give it another couple of episodes before I decide whether or not to bail on this one. Halloween is usually a promising time for scary shows so we’ll see what Ryan and Brad pull out of their hats for this one. Source: Accidental Sexiness

Hiya everyone! Hmm! This is interesting. Despite the so-so reviews for the third episode of F/X's 'American Horror Story', the show did see a slight increase in ratings for the night. I'm curious to see if those numbers hold this week after so-so reviews. [glow=red,2,300]Eric On 'A.H.S.'Ep. 1.03 - 'Murder House'

I watch the show because I like Dylan McDermott and Eric on it is only the cherry on the cake ! I have to say that the 2 first episodes were very disturbing but I was hooked. It's not at all my type of show but I want to know now what this house's secret is ! Regarding Eric's part he was only at the very beginning of the 3th episode like 3mn long...in a 83's year flash back. His character didn't seem like a good guy. Apparently, he is married with Jessica Lange's character. Not so much to say for now. He came with a drink, tried to force the maid in having sex with him then been shot by his wife...After seeing the scene, I would say that Eric refused to show his "naked ass" on screen... ;D But, regarding Eric's twitt, I can say that he'll be back to haunt the house with the young woman ( Kate Mara ) DMcDermott's character get pregnant and killed ( or not...that's a mystery ! ;D)

Hi Everyone, it's been a long time.
I have been watching American Horror Story and I'm hook just like Mimi. I love the actors and getting to see Eric was a treat, even if his character is a bad person. I have a morbid curiosity to see what happens. I will say that if you want to watch you need to watch from the beginning otherwise it would be very confusing.

I love a good ghost story. The weird thing about this show is you don't always know who is the ghost. I'm like Mimi, I want to know what the story is about this house (even though is is very creepy). Jessica Lange is fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing what her story is and what other secrets she knows.
It will be interesting to see what Eric's character is like as a ghost. Jessica's character seems to have a hold over the maid. There must be more to the character than a drunken louse for Eric to play him, at least I hope so.
Nice to see you back on the board Dee.

Hiya everyone! And after a quick YouTube search, here's the preview for this week's episode. I had to chuckle. Leave it up to F/X to already 'reveal' the idently of the infamous 'Rubber Man' in the promo. It wouldn't be the first time they have done this... They did this a while back on Nip/Tuck. Spilled everything in the promo before the actual episode aired. On another note, I didn't see Eric anywhere... I suppose that's good! LOL! [glow=red,2,300]Eric On 'A.H.S.'

I did watch the promo but I don't see where the RM's identity is revealed Anyway, I can't wait to see who he is. Eric's character maybe ? Since the short introduction, we haven't heard any word about his history. And it's the only one...so...

Mimi,
Really? You didn't see the big reveal?
I thought it was pretty obvious since the guy who was from that Star Trek movie was wearing the suit with his mask off. It's roughly at the 0:15 second mark.
Then again, it might be misleading, but in this case, with F/X history of having spoiled things in the past... I highly doubt it.
But let me know if it's not the case... I'm curious to see if they did another blunder there...
As for Eric's character... *shrugs*
No clue. From what you guys have been telling me... His character has been killed off very earlier in the episode... and the lack of press and pictures of his character... tells me that his character is more minor than major.
I mean... Just look at the guest list... Too many 'known' stars for this one episode.

That's the whole idea of the show. Most of the characters are dead and they come back to haunt the house... I did so what you say in the preview but I think it's something to mess up with us but maybe I'm too naive ! To be followed...

Hiya everyone! I found this on Google here and I thought I post this. It looks like Eric's apperance was very, very brief in this episode as well. Overall though, it was a so-so review despite the big reveal. For those of you who turned in, was Eric's guest apperance really worth it? It sure doesn't sound like it. **** TV Recap: American Horror Story, Episode 8In Section: ON SCREEN Posted By: Doug Strassler Monday, November 28,2011 Happy Post-Turkey-work-week, readers! Though we took a small break to enjoy the holiday cheer (and stuff ourselves with turkey and well...stuffing), American Horror Story certainly gave us something to be thankful for. Last week's episode un-masks the identity of the “Rubber Man” right from the start. For those of you still frustrated by the two-season mystery of the identity of “The Carver” on creator Ryan Murphy's previous series Nip/Tuck, this was a sweet sigh of relief. So without further ado, the Man in Black Latex is…Tate! Ugh. I don’t know who had betting pools running on this, but this was at least slightly predictable (though I held out some very big hope that it would be Eric Close, Constance’s un-dearly departed. Come on, AHS! Use the guy more already!) Not only did the Tate revelation seem a little too easy, it’s downright gross. It means that the guy who fathered Vivien’s twins is the same dead man who massacred a high school, murdered other innocents, and took the virginity of Vivien’s daughter, Violet. (I’m not even sure how sex with the undead works. Tate might just be the most potent soul, living, dead, or otherwise.) Much of the episode focused on Vivien’s emotional unraveling. After one sane decision – to actually leave Murder House – is thwarted, Violet decides to paint her mother as unstable so she can stay and be with Tate. Viv, understandably driven to paranoia, accuses Ben of trying to gaslight her. Eventually, she mistakenly shoots Ben in the gut (did he not need to go to the hospital right afterward?), leading him and security guard Luke (Morris Chestnut) to argue over Viv. If Luke and Viv are gonna do it, let them do it already. Except they can’t, because Vivien is then carted off to god-knows-where to deal with her hysteria. Can she find safety away from Murder House? Methinks not so much. The rest of the episode dealt with flashbacks, essentially creating an A-cast for certain dead members of our cast, including Nora Montgomery (Lily Rabe), Hayden (Kate Mara), and Chad (Zachary Quinto). They roam around the Murder House, wreaking occasional havoc but unseen by most mortals in some post-ironic version of Beetlejuice. The episode also seemed derivative of Rosemary’s Baby, as Tate decides that he will confiscate Viv’s twins so that each of his lonely ladies will have a random child to raise. (Again, I don’t know how any of this works). Though Frances Conroy has some lovely interaction with Viv, there’s nary a scene with Jessica Lange or Denis O’Hare in this ep. (And really? Just one quick scene with Eric Close?)The flashbacks to Chad and his partner Patrick’s pending demise lend little to the ongoing story, given AHS’ penchant for quick editing and narrative jumps. Tate decided to off them since they opted not to try for a child, so another unfortunate couple could move in and get knocked up. He beat and sodomized Patrick, drowned Chad, and then shot them both in a framed murder-suicide. And how would CSI not have been able to figure out foul play here? Again, I don’t know. But as season one inches closer to the finale, the talk that subsequent seasons might perhaps keep introducing new characters to move in rather than keep the current ones on the canvas integrated is looking more and more likely. So basically, what we have a here is a season-long installment of a Tales from the Crypt episode, sexed-up and glossy for a modern-day audience. Which may make us intrigued in the outcome, but makes it ever less enticing to invest in any of the Harmons, who will likely disappear for one reason or another very soon. What did you guys think? Was “Rubber Man” full of good stuffing or just talking turkey? Source: NY Press

This review said it all ! Just a few seconds of Eric. It's so frustrating ! But, I still hope we'll learn later about Hugo because I don't see the point about taking Eric Close in a show if not to use him... I really did thought that Rubberman would be Eric's Character, really...But who knows ? Maybe they're several ones ? Concerning Eric's scene, I have to say that I laugh a lot. Why ? Hugo was on the bed, kissing with Ben's girlfriend ( the one dead ) and out of nowhere, she kills him in the chest with I don't know what ( a knife ? ). So hugo is dead again then...he opens his eyes and gets up, asking her if she wants anything from the kitchen. ;D Eric and his characters...and the Food ! A wonderful love story !
