Ha! Believe me, if I had that kind of power, there would be A LOT of different shows on TV right now, both in Australia and the US. I can't even handle the Aus networks, and they're much closer! I'm quite excited to see how Nashville will go. Looks like it's got a lot of positive reviews. Can't wait to hear about it from all you guys there!

Now this is nice. Hollywood Reporter went ahead and posted the upcoming 2012 TV Network Upfront Schedule. It will take place from Sunday, May 13 through Thursday, May 17, 2012.

Keep in that mind that during those presentation, the network will release a trailer and pictures of recently picked up Pilots for the next season. So we will definitely know for sure what the faith of some of the Pilots will be in the next few days!

13 Promising Pilots: New Shows from Kevin Bacon, Connie Britton, Ryan Murphy and Mindy Kaling

Before the networks unveil their fall lineups in May, TVGuide.com has chosen the 13 most promising pilots:

1600 Penn (NBC)
Starring: Bill Pullman, Josh Gad, Jenna Elfman
Summary: It's a family drama set in the White House. Papa POTUS (Pullman) and his first lady (Elfman) live very public lives, but behind the scenes, their kids (including Gad and Superbad's Martha MacIsaac) are a hot mess.
Pedigree: Book of Mormon's Gad wrote the pilot and will executive-produce with Modern Family's Jason Winer.
Why we like it: It's Modern Family, but the Jay Pritchett character is the leader of the free world.
Why it has a shot: ABC revived the family format to great success, and NBC could afford to jump on those coattails, especially in an election year. Plus: Who wouldn't want to peek behind the curtain of the most powerful family in America? (No, not the Kardashians.)


Arrow (CW)
Starring: Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy
Summary: Hung's Amell stars as DC superhero Green Arrow in this modern retelling of the legendary archer's adventures. Melrose Place reboot alum Cassidy plays his love interest, the future Black Canary.
Pedigree: Brothers & Sisters' Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim will executive-produce with The Vampire Diaries' Andrew Kreisberg.
Why we like it: While the concept is similar to Smallville, it's grittier and more fast-paced than its predecessor. Plus: Oliver Queen is a wealthy playboy who decides to hone his natural-born skills to make a difference, which makes it much more like Batman Begins than Superman Returns.
Why it has a shot: Smallville fans and comic-book aficionados — i.e. men — will flock to it, giving the CW audience a much-needed boost of testosterone.


The Carrie Diaries (CW)
Starring: AnnaSophia Robb, Austin Butler
Summary: Based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, a teenaged Carrie Bradshaw (Robb) comes of age in the '80s, when she first wondered aloud about love, sex —Butler plays a proto-Mr. Big — friendship and family.
Pedigree: Bushnell will executive-produce alongside Gossip Girl superstars Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Len Goldstein and Sex and the City writer Amy Harris.
Why we like it: Have you seen Sex and the City? Wouldn't you love to go back 20 years and find out how Carrie Bradshaw fell for the love of her life: New York City?
Why it has a shot: The brand already has a built-in audience, and its high school setting will indoctrinate a new generation into the world of Manolos and Cosmos.


Elementary (CBS)
Starring: Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu
Summary: It's a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, in which Sherlock (Eli Stone's Miller) is a recovering addict and consultant for the NYPD. Liu plays his distaff Watson.
Pedigree: Robert Doherty (Medium) penned the pilot and will executive-produce with Justified duo Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.
Why we like it: Watson is a woman! And that woman is Lucy Liu! Awesome, right?
Why it has a shot: More than 100 years after first appearing in publication, the Sherlock Holmes mythology still entertains. (Just ask Robert Downey Jr.)


Last Resort (ABC)
Starring: Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Robert Patrick
Summary: A renegade crew of a nuclear submarine (among them Speedman and Patrick), led by Men of a Certain Age's Braugher, go AWOL after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world's smallest nuclear nation.
Pedigree: The Shield's Shawn Ryan executive-produces the pilot, which he wrote with Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me).
Why we like it: The immaculately scripted pilot plays like a tense wartime thriller (think of sub-based classics like The Hunt for Red October or Das Boot), a genre not often seen on episodic television.
Why it has a shot: ABC could really use a series that appeals to men.


Nashville (ABC)
Starring: Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere
Summary: This family soap plays out in the Nashville music scene and tells the story of two musicians, one who's already a star (Britton) and the other who's on the rise (Panettiere).
Pedigree: Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise) and RJ Cutler (the documentarian behind The War Room) wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.
Why we like it: Even if you don't like country music, you'll immediately fall in love with this pilot's Southern charm. Plus: The open hostility between Britton and Panettiere's characters is delicious.
Why it has a shot: Fresh off her unexpected run on American Horror Story, Britton is a hot commodity that any network would be lucky to have.


The New Normal (NBC)
Starring: Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha, Ellen Barkin
Summary: A gay couple — Book of Mormon's Rannells and The Hangover's Bartha — try to start a family with the help of a surrogate. Barkin plays the birth mother's not-so-tolerant grandmother.
Pedigree: Along with fellow Glee producer Ali Adler, Ryan Murphy co-wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.
Why we like it: Murphy balances his acerbic writing style with an honest portrayal of something people of all sexual orientations struggle with: trying to have a child.
Why it has a shot: Murphy is a hit-maker (see: Glee, American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck, etc.), and NBC is probably chomping at the bit to get into business with him. Plus: If this and 1600 Penn both go to series, NBC can brag about snagging both stars of the wildly successful Broadway musical Book of Mormon.


Nic and Jen (NBC)
Starring: Andrea Anders, Minnie Driver, Josh Hopkins
Summary: Two friends, one put-together (Anders) and one not so (Driver), can't live without each other, much to the chagrin of the former's husband (Hopkins).
Pedigree: Kari Lizer (The New Adventures of Old Christine) wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.
Why we like it: It's essentially what happens about two years after Bridesmaids ends (but don't worry, no one defecates in a sink).
Why it has a shot: Female-centric comedies haven't set the world of fire on the Peacock (See: Whitney and Are You There, Chelsea?), so NBC needs a win in that column.


Partners (CBS)
Starring: David Krumholtz, Michael Urie, Sophia Bush, Brandon Routh
Summary: Lifelong friends and business partners — one straight (Krumholtz) and one gay (Urie) — navigate tricky waters when one decides to propose to his girlfriend (Bush), leaving the other in an awkward position with his boyfriend (Routh).
Pedigree: Will & Grace duo David Kohan and Max Mutchnick will executive-produce.
Why we like it: The men's banter recalls the rat-a-tat-tat days of Will & Grace, another show in which you wonder if any outsider has a shot at getting between the real couple of the show.
Why it has a shot: CBS does well with multi-camera comedies (see: The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother), but not since Everybody Loves Raymond has the network won an Emmy in that category. Will & Grace won 16.


The Selection (CW)
Starring: Aimee Teegarden, Ethan Peck
Summary: Based on the book series by Kiera Cass, this epic romance is set 300 years in the future. A poor young woman named America (Teegarden) is chosen by lottery to participate in a ruthless competition to become Peck's future queen.
Pedigree: The Vampire Diaries' Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.
Why we like it: It's The Hunger Games meets The Bachelor! Yeah, it's definitely weird, but trust us, the catty backstabbing among the potential wives is just as compelling as The Bachelor's ridiculousness and less bloody than Games' serial child murders.
Why it has a shot: In a post-Hunger Games world, this show's wacky premise is suddenly completely viable — both creatively and financially. (And remember, this is the network that capitalized on Twilight mania with The Vampire Diaries.)


Untitled Mindy Kaling Project (Fox)
Starring: Mindy Kaling, Anna Camp — Ed Helms and Bill Hader will guest-star
Summary: The Office's Kaling stars as a Bridget Jones-type OB/GYN trying to navigate both her personal and professional life. Her well-connected friend (Camp) is always bailing her out, and her love life (Helms and Hader are among her suitors) is continually in flux.
Pedigree: Kaling wrote the pilot and will executive-produce with Office producer Howard Klein.
Why we like it: Kaling captures the raw comedy of a not-so-polished woman who believes in the promise of the romantic comedy movies she reveres. And even if we haven't personally been arrested for drunk-driving a bicycle into a pool ourselves (as Kaling's character is in the pilot), we can certainly relate to the potential humiliation of singledom.
Why it has a shot: Fox already tested out a Tuesday night comedy block without success, but Kaling, and her wealth of funny friends — move over, 30 Rock, this is where the best and brightest guest stars will soon be popping up — could pair very well with New Girl.



Untitled Ralph Lamb Project (CBS)
Starring: Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis, Jason O'Mara, Carrie-Anne Moss
Summary: Set in 1960s Las Vegas, this is the true story of Ralph Lamb (Quaid) — a rodeo cowboy-turned-sheriff who, along with his brother (O'Mara), go toe-to-toe with the Mob (Chiklis among them). Moss portrays his potential love interest, with whom he shares a past.
Pedigree: Goodfellas' Nicholas Pileggi and Without a Trace's Greg Walker wrote the pilot and will executive-produce alongside Men in Trees duo James Mangold and Cathy Konrad.
Why we like it: Cowboys take on the Mob among the rich narrative territory of Sin City's heyday.
Why it has a shot: It's got a long list of things CBS loves, including being a crime drama with an A-list pedigree.


Untitled Kevin Williamson project (Fox)
Starring: Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy
Summary: In this edge-of-your-seat thriller, an incarcerated, though still diabolical serial killer (Purefoy) taunts the damaged FBI profiler (Bacon) who captured him by recruiting an army of deluded followers.
Pedigree: Kevin Williamson wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.
Why we like it: Forget the Williamson that created lovey-dovey Dawson's Creek and The Vampire Diaries, and remember that the man is also responsible for writing the Scream movies. This pilot is tense, terrifying and — dare we say — witty?
Why it has a shot: Bacon. Williamson. Need we say more?

I can't wait to see Eric back on TV next fall... On another note, I was wondering what ABC was going to do... with too many 'country' theme shows there. It turns out that once they decided they go with 'Nashville', they went ahead and axe 'GCB'.

Ouch! No doubt that 'Nashville' is replacing 'GCB' there.

ABC has picked up its first new series for the 2012-13 season, adding a musical drama starring Friday Night Lights' Connie Britton, a nuclear drama from The Shield's Shawn Ryan, a crime drama with Radha Mitchell, mystery hours featuring ER's Anthony Edwards and Lost's Terry O'Quinn and three comedies.


Here's a look at what's been ordered to series:

Ryan's Last Resort centers on the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine (led by Andre Braugher) who, after ignoring an order to fire nuclear missiles, wind up being hunted and escape to a NATO outpost where they declare themselves to be the world's smallest nuclear nation. Felicity's Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Autumn Reeser, Jessy Schram, Daniel Lissing, Camille de Pazzis, Sahr Ngaujau and Dichen Lachman co-star; Omid Abtahi, Matt Geral and Bruce Davison recur, while Robert Patrick and Glee's Max Adler guest star in the pilot. Ryan penned the pilot alongside Karl Gajdusek, with both on board to exec produce alongside Marney Hochman Nash and Martin Campbell, who directed the Sony Pictures Television pilot.


666 Park Ave. features a young couple (Dave Annabele, Rachael Taylor) who accept an offer to manage one of the most historic apartment buildings in New York City as they unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences that complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the building. Based on the book by Gabriella Pierce. Lost's Terry O'Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Mercedes Masohn, Robert Buckley and Helena Mattsson co-star; Erik Palladino appears in the pilot. David Wilcox penned the pilot and wil exec produce alongside Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo and Matt Miller; Alex Graves directed the Warner Bros., Alloy Entertainment drama.


How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life stars Sarah Chalke as Polly, a recently divorced single mom who moves in with her eccentric parents, Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and Max (Brad Garrett), a couple who are full of life but know no bounds. Orlando Jones, John Dore, Rachel Eggleston and Rebecca Delgado Smith co-star in the single-camera comedy frm 20th Television and Imagine TV. Claudia Lonow penned the pilot and will exec produce the single-camera comedy alongside Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Francie Calfo.


Nashville is described as a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene revolving around one star at her peak (Britton) and another on the rise (Hayden Panettiere). Eric Close, Powers Boothe, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Robert Wisdom and Charles Esten co-star in the ABC Studios, Lionsgate and Gaylord Entertainment-produced hour which filmed in Nashville.


Red Widow (previously Penoza) is based on the Dutch format and revolves around the widow (Mitchell) of an assassinated criminal who is forced to adopt her husband’s role in a crime syndicate in order to protect her family. Lee Tergesen, Luke Goss, Rade Sherbedzija, Wil Traval, Suleka Mathew, Jaime Ray Newman, Sterling Beaumon, Jakob Salvati, Erin Moriarty and Mido Hamada co-star in the ABC Studios/Endemol hour. Hell on Wheels' Anson Mount guest stars in the drama penned by Twilight's Melissa Rosenberg, who will exec produce alongside Alon Aranya and Howard Klein.


Family Tools (previously Comeback Jack, Red Van Man, White Van Man) is a comedy based on the British format that revolves around a man (Kyle Bornheimer) who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father (J.K. Simmons). Leah Remini, Edi Gathegi, Johnny Pemberton and Danielle Nicolet co-star in the single-camera comedy penned by Bobby Bowman, who exec produces alongside Mark Gordon, Andrea Shay and Paul Buccieri. The project hails from ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co.


Zero Hour marks the return of ER's Edwards, who stars as a man who's spent 20 years as the editor of a skeptics magazine who is launched into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history. Michael Nyqvist, Carmen Ejogo, Scott Michael Foster, Addison Timlin and Jacinda Barrett co-star in the ABC Studios drama. Paul Scheuring penned the pilot and will exec produce alongside Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Dan McDermott.


Neighbors (previously the untitled Dan Fogelman project) centers on a family (Lenny Venito, Jami Gertz, Isabella Cramp, Clara Mamet, Max Charles) that moves into a coveted New Jersey gated community only to discover that the entire neighborhood is comprised of aliens disguised as humans. Simon Templeman, Toks Olagundoye Tim Jo and Ian Patrick co-star in the single-camera comedy penned by Fogelman, who exec produces the ABC Studios single-camera comedy alongside Chris Koch and Aaron Kaplan.


The pickups join the previously announced drama thriller Mistresses, which was picked up straight to series, from Gossip Girl's KJ Steinberg at the network.

The female-skewing network has given second season orders to Shonda Rhimes' D.C.-set political fixer drama and its first year comedy starring James Van Der Beek comedy, "GCB" will not live on.

ABC has renewed freshmen series Scandal and Don't Trust the B---- in Apt 23 for second seasons and canceled fellow first-year entry GCB.

The network gave the Kerry Washington-Tony Goldwyn D.C.-set political fixer drama the plum post-Grey's Anatomy time slot where it has performed well in its limited run.

The Shonda Rhimes drama, which bumped the prolific showrunner's Private Practice from its longtime home on Thursday nights, has for the most part held on to its Grey's lead-in viewership. The seven-episode first season has been a format Rhimes has said she enjoys.

"Season 1 feels like a British miniseries in that it's only seven episodes. It feels more like State of Play than like a regular network show," Rhimes told THR. "The seven episodes work as a whole; we're telling a story in which there's a little bit of a cliffhanger at the end of every episode. When you leave at the end of the season, while you have a lot of questions that need to be answered, the larger part of the mystery or intrigue that was happening this season is finished."

Rhimes' Grey's Anatomy has laready been renewed for a ninth season; Private Practice remains on the bubble.

In addition freshman comedy Apt 23 from 20th Television and starring James Van Der Beek, Krysten Ritter and Dreama Walker will return for a second season. The series about a good girl who moves in with a woman with the morals of a pirate, playing a heightened version of himself, has been a consistent performer in the sweet post-Modern Family time slot on Wednesdays after bowing midseason to positive buzz surrounding the former Dawson's Creek star's comedic performance.

Grey's Anatomy spinoff Private Practice was bumped out of its longtime home after the Rhimes flagship series this season to make way for the prolific showrunner's D.C.-set political fixer drama Scandal. Moving to Tuesdays in the post-Dancing With the Stars slot, the Kate Walsh drama lost 19 percent of its viewership in its first week in the new slot. Its recent rebound -- with Rhimes using spoilers in an active Twitter campaign to raise awareness for the show's new night in its fifth season -- has given the network renewed faith in the series, though its most recent airing notched a series low. The ABC Studios series, which added Benjamin Bratt as a regular this year, will return for sixth season, giving Rhimes three series on ABC's schedule.

Body of Proof, from ABC Studios and starring Dana Delany as a medical examiner, wrapped its second season in April, drawing 10 million viewers and a 1.9 in the coveted demo against competition including CBS' Unforgettable and NBC's Fashion Star. While not a breakout word-of-mouth performer for the network, it stands as ABC's lone crime procedural on the schedule.

Scandal and Apt. 23 join scripted series Happy Endings, Grey's, Suburgatory, Revenge, The Middle, Castle, Modern Family and Once Upon a Time has having been picked up for additional seasons. On the unscripted side, ABC has renewed Dancing With the Stars, Shark Tank, America's Funniest Home Videos, Wife Swap and The Bachelor for additional runs.

Meanwhile, despite the star power of Kristin Chenoweth, freshman drama GCB will not move forward. The soapy drama opened to modest returns in March and failed to make the anticipated splash required to become the network's replacement for Desperate Housewives. From Robet Harling and Darren Star and starring Leslie Bibb as a former mean girl who returns home to her Texas hometown, the series hit a series low in mid-April despite a recent uptick.

Here's the Deadline coverage on the latest ABC pick-ups... and from the sound of it, that's it. The only other pick-up announced today was 'Malibu Country'.

Everything else is dead... including Marc Cherry's 'Devious Maids'. Talk about Ouch there!

Two years in a row failing to get a pilot launched into a series... and with 'Desperate Housewives' ending next week, he's out of ABC next fall. Ouch!

2ND UPDATE: Remaining in contention at ABC is the Reba McEntire comedy pilot Malibu Country. The rest is pretty much dead, though there are last-ditch efforts to get Americana picked up and there had been talk about possibly redeveloping American Judy.


UPDATE: It looks like ABC is done with its sister studio and moving to picking up pilots from outside suppliers. The network just picked up Warner Bros. TV's spooky drama 666 Park Ave and 20th TV comedy How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest Of Your Live. Rounding out the freshman ABC class is Sony TV's Last Resort, which also got a pickup.


PREVIOUS: And we'e off with ABC's new series pickups. Picked up so far are frontrunner Nashville, comedies The Neighbors (aka untitled Dan Fogelman) and Family Tools (aka Red Man Van) and drama series are from as Red Widow (form. Penoza) and Zero Hour. Word is that Americana, which was hot, then cool, than hot again, is not going, at least not right now, though last-minute conversations are still ongoing. All five newly-picked up series are from ABC Studios.


UPDATE: I hear the remaining ABC Studios pilots are not going forward. That includes Devious Maids.

ABC Orders Connie Britton Drama, Sarah Chalke Comedy and 7 More to Series

ABC has joined in on the pre-Upfronts presentations fray by ordering nine new series.

On the drama side, ABC has ordered Nashville, Last Resort, Red Widow, 666 Park Avenue and Zero Hour. For comedy, the network ordered How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, Malibu Country, The Family Tools and The Neighbors. ABC has previously ordered Mistresses directly to series in February for a summer 2013 premiere, but word is it could end up on the schedule sooner.


Nashville is a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene that follows two musicians, one who's already a star (Connie Britton) and the other who's on the rise (Hayden Panettiere). Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise) and RJ Cutler will write and executive-produce. Jonathan Jackson, Powers Boothe, Robert Wisdom, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten and Sam Palladio will also star.


In Last Resort, a renegade crew of a nuclear submarine, lead by Men of a Certain Age's Andre Braugher, go on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world's smallest nuclear nation. The Shield's Shawn Ryan will executive-produce the pilot, which he wrote with Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me). Autumn Reeser, Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Sahr Ngaujau, Dichen Lachman, Jessy Schram, Robert Patrick, Camille de Pazzis and Dan Lissing will also star.


Red Widow, formerly known as Penoza, follows the widow (Radha Mitchell) of an assassinated criminal who is forced to adopt her husband's role in a crime syndicate in order to protect her family. Dexter's Melissa Rosenberg will write, based on the Dutch format, and executive-produce alongside The Office's Howard Klein. Lee Tergesen, Rade Sherbedzija, Wil Traval, Luke Goss, Suleka Mathew, Jaime Ray Newman, Sterling Beaumon, Jacob Salvati, Erin Moriarty and Mido Hamada will also star. Anson Mount will guest-star.


In 666 Park Avenue, an innocent Midwestern couple (Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor) get hired as resident managers of an Upper East Side apartment building in New York, with the owner played by Lost's Terry O'Quinn. Unbeknownst to them, the residents have all made deals with the Devil to have their desires fulfilled. David Wilcox will adapt Gabrielle Pierce's book series and executive-produce, alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Vanessa Williams, Mercedes Masohn, Helena Mattsson and Robert Buckley will also star. Erik Palladino will guest-star.


In Zero Hour, a skeptics magazine editor (Anthony Edwards) gets pulled into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history. Prison Break's Paul Scheuring wrote the pilot and executive-produces with Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Dan McDermott. Scott Michael Foster, Addison Timlin, Jacinda Barrett, Michael Nyqvist and Carmen Ejogo will star.


In How to Live, Scrubs' Sarah Chalke stars as a newly divorced woman who ends up moving in with her over-the-top parents Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and Max (Brad Garrett). Accidentally on Purpose creator Claudia Lonow wrote the pilot based loosely on her own life. She executive-produces with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Francie Calfo. Jon Dore, Orlando Jones, Rebecca Delgado Smith and Rachel Eggleston will also star.


In Malibu Country, Reba McEntire stars as a broke divorcee who moves her family to Malibu where she attempts to revive her music career while keeping her children from being corrupted by the city. Reba's Kevin Abbott will write and executive-produce the pilot. Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue, Jai Rodriguez, Owen Teague, Juliette Angelo, Justin Prentice will also star.


Family Tools, formerly known as Red Van Man, follows a man (Worst Week's Kyle Bornheimer) who puts his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father (The Closer's J.K. Simmons). Bobby Bowman (My Name is Earl) will write and executive-produce alongside Mark Gordon and Andrea Shay. Leah Remini, Edi Gathegi, Danielle Nicolet and Johnny Pemberton will also star.


In The Neighbors, a family — Lenny Venito, Jami Gertz, Isabella Cramp, Clara Mamet and Max Charles — moves into a beautiful, surprisingly affordable gated community in New Jersey only to discover that all the neighbors are literally from another planet. Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love) will write and executive-produce. Simon Templeman, Toks Olagundoye, Tim Jo and Ian Patrick will also star.

ABC Orders 10 Shows: Connie Britton, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Chalke, Terry O'Quinn Star

ABC made a surge of fateful programming decisions this afternoon. Private Practice, Don’t Trust the B— and several other shows just got renewed. Missing and a few other titles were cancelled.

And in the middle of that, ABC ordered five seven eight 10 new shows.

ABC gave series orders to drama pilots Last Resort, Red Widow (formerly titled Penoza), Mistresses, 666 Park Ave., Zero Hour and Nashville, plus to comedies How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, Malibu Country, The Neighbors and Comeback Jack.


Here’s the rundown of ABC’s new lineup:

– Based on the Dutch format, Red Widow centers on the widow (Radha Mitchell) of an assassinated criminal who is forced to adopt her husband’s role in an organized-crime syndicate in order to protect her family.


– Nashville is a family soap starring American Horror Story lead Connie Britton that’s set in the country music scene with one star at her peak and one on the rise. Eric Close, Hayden Panettiere, Jonathan Jackson, Powers Boothe costar.


– Zero Hour stars Anthony Edwards and Michael Nyqvist and is about a “bizarre twist of fate that pulls a man who’s spent 20 years as the editor of a skeptics magazine into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history.”


– Last Resort stars Andre Braugher in a high-concept project described as “an international action-thriller-soap that follows the story of establishing a new society in a world held hostage by the crew of a ballistic missile submarine. Basically, a U.S. nuclear sub crew refuses orders to fire their missiles and escapes to a NATO outpost and declares themselves the smallest nuclear nation. Scott Speedman and Autumn Reeser co-star.


– Mistresses tells the story of four women with turbulent romantic lives. Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan star.


– 666 Park Ave. brings Lost star Terry O’Quinn back to ABC. The logline: “A young couple accepts an offer to manage one of the most historic apartment buildings in New York City, they unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences, which complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the building.” Co-stars Dave Annable, Rachael Taylor and Vanessa Williams.


On the comedy side, there’s…

– Comeback Jack (a much less creepy name than its original title, Red Van Man), about a man who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father, and stars J.K. Simmons, Kyle Bornheimer and Leah Remini.


– The Neighbors, about a family that moves into a highly desirable gated community in New Jersey only to discover that the entire neighborhood is made up of aliens disguised as humans. That one costars Jamie Gertz and Max Charles.


– How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life (um, HTLWYPFTROYL?) is about a recently divorced single mom, moves in with her eccentric parents who are full of life but know no boundaries. Sarah Chalke will star along with Brad Garrett, Elizabeth Perkins, Orlando Jones and Rachel Eggleston.


– Malibu Country stars country star Reba McEntire and comedy legend Lily Tomlin. Logline: “After her good ol’ boy rock star husband cheats on her and burns through most of their money, Reba divorces him and moves her three sons and mom from Nashville to the only asset they have left — a little house in Malibu.” Sara Rue and Jai Rodriguez co-star.

A quick heads up to everyone! I went ahead and merged all the 'CHAOS' stuff into one category. So all the spoilers, pictures, screencaps and fanarts are now relocated into one category to make room for 'Nashville'. ;D

With that said, I went ahead and created 2 categories for Eric's new show 'Nashville'. One will be for non-spoilers while the other will have spoilers. That way no one will be accidentally 'spoiled'. Hehe!

I will try my best to keep things straight though... LOL!

I'm SO excited about having Eric on screen once a week again. I can't wait for Nashville to be out!

I'm just worried because of some things I read about his character and I'm like "Please, don't make him a character I would hate!" I live the guy, but I don't wanna hate his character...

Don't we all girls feel that way? I mean, it's been years since WaT is out of the air and here we are. I think we stay together because of Eric Close.

It´s possible that the boy to be ambitious, maybe he takes advantage of his wife, but I have read he is a lovely husband who support his wife too. I don´t know, I hope a good boy here .
