It's not really a "scene" per se, the scene just begins with a close up of a burger/chix sandwich w/fries and then pans to Sam, who is working at her desk. Jack comes up, sits on her desk, they discuss the case and when he gets up to walk away he tells her she "shouldn't eat that stuff." She just smiles and gets back to work. I just thought it was funny because Martin is usually the food guy and since he and Sam are dating maybe his food habits are rubbing off on her.

Jus saw this episode last night! I loved the burger scene, its as close to a MS scene as we got! Its nice to see that Martins bad eating habbits are rubbing off on Sam! I didnt like that there wasnt a MS scene! However I cant expect the show to revolve around their relationship all the time! (or can I?!lol) I felt really bad for the prisoners sister at the end, and that Randall guy-what a dick!! I found myself so angry at him!! Grrr!s hope next wks episode has more MS Anyways let

There was no MS last night and I was a little upset. There was more JS than anything. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I just prefer MS. Hopefully as Blossom says there will be more next week.

I don't mind the JS cos I love ALP and I don't see anything else than work in their interaction, at least in this episode. But I'm sure JS shippers have the opposite POV.
I wasn't overly excited about this episode as I don't believe in rehabilitation by god, so it was all a bit far fetched for me.
Looking forward to next week's epi though!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode for it showed that even in the very bad there is some good. The case was finally broken when the baddie grassed just to get visitation rights with his wife and daughter. I was kept guessing until the end.
It was around this time EC gave some of his best performances and showed just how under-rated an actor he is - his mixture of toughness, understanding and mormalcy in interviewing the prisoners were outstanding.

Very good comment. That moment you talk about, of Martin questioning the baddie, is very good, both on EC's side and also on the actor playing the baddie. His eyes filling with tears when he sees his wife and daughters made me feel sorry for him and considering the type of person he is, this means that the actor did a very good job. I also found the MP very good and extremely fascinating, so torn out, so desperate, one of the best MPs of the series with all his complicated moods and self-punishment. Sorry, but the only scene I can't remember of this episode is the burger scene ....

A very dark and disturbing episode but also really powerful and great acting from all the actors.
