"Blood Out" -- A dedicated paramedic disappears from a hospital moments after successfully treating a young thug who was wounded in a shootout during which he killed a rival gang member, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Thursday, Jan. 5 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series' producer Scott White directed the episode written by Gwendolyn Parker.
Academy Award nominee and Tony Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Color of Money," "Man of La Mancha") returns as FBI agent Anne Cassidy.
Initially the team fears that Cole, who has been cited for his star performance and valor as a paramedic, is the target of retribution for saving the gang member's life. It soon seems that a gang is involved in Cole's disappearance, but it may, instead, be the fault of Cole's secret gang ties. Though he is an active member in his church's anti-gang program, the team learns that Cole received cash from a gang-banger on the night of his disappearance. Meanwhile, Jack and Anne bond over the recent deaths of his father and her husband.

I can't believe no one has made a comment yet! Great show for Danny to shine. He did a wonderful job with the young teen. It was so good to see him have a chance to show his abilities as an actor.
I think we may see a lot of that this season. Different shows seem to target different cast members. Yes, this one was also Jack and Elena and not much Martin but his day will come.
Loved the remark from the girlfriend about the perfect boyfriend and Sam's face after she said that. Hints of the future I hope.
A good episode where the good guy both lost and won. He didn't survive but he acheived his goal of getting the teen out of the gang. For him that was worth his death. I liked it.

I loved the girlfriend's comment to Sam about the perfect boyfriend and her reaction. The episode was okay, although not much suspense with the missing person story. I'm glad Jack has a girlfriend, but do we need to see three scenes of them together? We never got that for any other romance on the show. And, a little too much Elena for me. I really thought that she was doing a Cher imitation last night. I don't know what they were thinking when they hired her.

Although there wasn't any M/S, I liked this episode. I actually liked seeing Jack smile and be smitten with someone. I just hope we get some episodes that aren't Jack centered, we've had a lot lately. Loved Danny in this episode, especially when he went up to Jack and hugged him, the look on Jack's face was priceless.

LOVED that "Ohhhh Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about" smile Sam gave the MP girlfriend.. that pretty much said it all. I'll recite word from word for those who couldn't see it:
Sam: "Do you think Cole's disappearance could be a way of taking a break from your relationship? MP Girlfriend: "No way... You know the kinda guy you always dreamed about? Responsible, really listens and good looking?" Sam: "Yeah" (With that 'I know exactly what you're talking about' smile.)
And I'm on the fence about Jack and the new girlfriend. I think they're really cute together.. and it's great to see him smile. I'm not sure if hooking up with her so soon after losing her husband is a good idea.. but what do I know?
And I think Maggie hit it right on the head: Elena doing Cher. I've been trying to think of who she sounds like and I think Cher is an excellent choice. Between the hair and her very thick accent, she just about has it down pat.
I think we're back to repeats for the next couple of weeks?? Anyone know for sure?

Yes Susan, we do. When I read the description on TV I thought it was a repeat. Sounded like something I'd seen before so I didn't watch it.
Jack has a girlfriend? It's the woman who works for the FBI who's husband disappeared a few episodes ago? How tasteless that is. He should go for the therapist Lisa Harris.

So far I'm considering this ep one of my fav. Storyline: good Team interaction: sucks Yeah, no M/S but I still saw very little of Martin. Alot of Jack and Anne (but that's fine with me) and the rest were just in and out. One thing I must say for Jack: YIPEE!!! He's moving on!! ;D I think "Let go" is becoming a new motto for him or something. But there was that one scene between Roslyn and Enrique I didn't like, after the interrogation with Orlando and she told him that they couldn't put a guy like that out on the street? Kinda rhetoric since obviously you don't wanna put a guy like Orlando on the street.

hmm well I did really love the episode... I loved the awkward hug with Danny and Jack lol...it reminded me of Rumour Has It-has anyone seen that?- where Mark Ruffalo tries to hug his gf's dad. lol From the side and no movement by the reciever lol and the deluxe fruit basket was adorable.... :Pgotta love Danny but other than that...like Slowpoke said...the team interaction sucked majorly...but it was a really interesting case.. what i didn't like was the fact that they claim they only want to give up a tiny bit of time for personal stuff and Jack made out with Anne TWICE! in a period of under one hour!! cheesh...minus the whole In The Dark scene...Jack/Anne have gotten more action in one episode than Martin and Sam in 3 years! But..Jack minus Sam...is a good jack...so w/e. Sad though....

OK, here are some screencaps. Sorry it took me so long but have you ever had a day where everything you did turned to, well, you know what?? Here goes: Our missing person, the paramedic His cutie pie partner That cringe-worthy sceen where Danny hugged Jack. I was uncomfortable even watching it. Great acting, especially Danny! Gorgeous as ever Aren't I beautiful Wahh!! I didn't get enough screen time again! I was so the man in this eppy Why did they make me wear such a low cut blouse?? Jack lays a huge smooch on a very unsuspecting MEM OK, Jack's going in for the kill again (I call this the tongue scene) first he gets ready, then he lays one on.. Her reaction? More tongue. Huh?? :

OMG!! Susan... You are too funny!! I didn't notice the Jack tongue thing.. too, too funny!
I probably shouldn't have called MEM, Jack's girlfriend.. I said that to be silly.. I don't know what you would call them.. He's anxious to move forward.. she's not so anxious. Anyway.. I'm calling her the girlfriend. I just don't think she's officially his girlfriend. I do think they go well together. She seems to have a strong hand on him where Maria and Sam didn't. He's definitely met his match.
