Maybe they'll bring it back for the summer and show the rest of the episodes. How many have been filmed? I have a feeling they had an order for 13 and a contract to show them overseas. If you hear rumblings about them still filming, it may be because they have to. If this is the case, you might be able to get the remaining episodes later on in the year on Surf the Channel type websites. Or, like I mentioned above, maybe they'll air them on CBS later this summer.

SeptemberBaby,
That's what I was thinking to. They are wrapping up Season 1 soon... and from what I can tell, they shot all 13 episodes and are currently working the last 1 or 2 episodes of the season right now (sides for Episode 1.12 have been out for a while).
I'm hoping CBS can give this another 'relaunch' in the summer when they got the marjority of repeats on.
Why not? All episodes are shot and been paid for. They might as well show them if not try them out at decent timeslot that's not the deathslot called Friday, 8pm.

Hiya everyone! Okay, CBS just posted this on their Press site. Apparently, they haven't abandoned CHAOS completely yet. If I'm reading this correctly, the show WILL RETURN on a later date that has yet to be announced. Hmm! Makes you wonder why they didn't announce THAT yesterday... but rather today... Either way, if I was CBS, I would put the show during the summer and give it another try there... relaunching it properly this time... and airing the episodes in the CORRECT order. I mean... What do they have to loose in the end? Nothing really if you ask me. And you know what? With the schedule they have set up for the remainder of April, total bust if you ask me. This Friday is going to be bad because of it being 'Good Friday' and the Easter weekend right around the corner... the following Friday everyone is going to cover the royal wedding hoopla... Hmm... I definitely can see it now why CBS decided to pull it out now and save Episode 1.04 for a later airing. But seriously, I will keep you posted on how CHAOS' replacement will do during that timeslot, especially with how everyone is now raving about 'Flashpoint' returning earlier than expected. At least now we know that we're getting the remaining episodes there at a later date. [glow=red,2,300]CHAOS To Return
On A Later Date[/glow]04.19.2011 CBS's POLICE DRAMA, "FLASHPOINT," RETURNS ON FRIDAY, MAY 6, 8:00-9:00 PM FLASHPOINT, a police drama depicting the emotional journey into the risk-filled lives of cops in the Strategic Response Unit, returns to CBS on Friday, May 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). FLASHPOINT replaces CHAOS, which will go on hiatus effective immediately but return to the schedule at a later date. CBS will air a rebroadcast of CSI: NY this Friday, April 22 with coverage of the Royal Wedding scheduled for next Friday, April 29. FLASHPOINT originally premiered in July 2008 and became that summer's top original scripted series, winning its time period against non-Olympic competition. On Fridays last summer, FLASHPOINT averaged 7.13 million viewers, 1.4/05 in adults 18-49 and 2.1/06 in adults 25-54. FLASHPOINT stars Hugh Dillon, Enrico Colantoni, Amy Jo Johnson and David Paetkau. Anne Marie La Traverse and Bill Mustos are executive producers for Pink Sky Entertainment and Avamar Entertainment in association with CBS Television Studios. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer... But... If they do decide to air the remaining episodes this summer, I see ZERO chance of it coming back. I'm thinking yesterday was a formality that the crew and cast were released from their contracts (when the 13 are finished filming). Airing the rest will just be a way to fill their schedule for the summer. We could make a list of what went wrong.. things they should have done, things they shouldn't have done... who should have done what, who shouldn't have. Bottom line: ratings = money. No ratings = no money. Hopefully, someday we'll look back at this show and realize it wasn't meant to be.. EC and the others will have moved on to something else and we'll forget all about this. Fingers crossed it did it's job and got TPTB thinking and remembering EC. Unfortunately, EC missed the pilot season for this coming fall .... doesn't mean he can't join a another established show .. maybe one with huge ratings!

Airing the rest will just be a way to fill their schedule for the summer. Bottom line: ratings = money. No ratings = no money. SeptemberBaby, See... That's the thing that had me backpedaling yesterday... Why not just dump the show altogether when the ratings are so bad? I don't know... Something must have happened from the time they 'leaked' the info of pulling the show to this morning when they 'officially' released a press release of putting the show on hiatus. Did the Live+7 DVR ratings for the 'Pilot' play some sort of a role, which was released later that day? Did someone from CBS go around and notice the rather many 'unhappy' response from various CHAOS fans at various media and fansites, i.e. Twitter, Facebook, fansites, etc.? I don't know... but it does make me wonder, doesn't it... I mean... Practically every media outlet that you go online has pretty much written the show off... and are now dancing foward to embrace the supposedly 'summer' show 'Flashpoint'. Not a pretty picture I tell you... As for the cast and crew and their contract... I don't think CBS really needed to 'release' them if you get my drift. They were contracted to do 13 episodes no matter what. I think that was what held them back last year when the whole studio mess started... 20 Century FOX Studios wanted 13 episodes and CBS gave them that in the end. Whether they will be picked up or not is a whole another question, but those 13 episodes were going to be shot no matter what. As for being it a summer filler... Yeah... I agree... but the optimistic part in me still sees it a bit of hope there... even it's a small flicker. And personally, I see CHAOS being more of a 'summer show' in the first place... It fits better and everything... with less competition from the other network. Like you said, ratings = money... and summer usually is when networks are running repeats... They might as well put 'CHAOS' in the summer timeslot and see how it does. For what it's worth... CBS has been really good to Eric in the past years... the majority of his shows, some shortlived than others have been on CBS. I think someone even joked that he should just go ahead and open up his office there... ;D But yeah... I think CBS knows his appeal... and it's just a matter of finding the right 'script' and 'show' for him to be on. In the meantime though, I'm going to enjoy the CHAOS episodes that we are going to get. The show may not be perfect and all, but at least I'm enjoying watching it. And... If you guys want to help the show out, go online and watch the full episodes there. It never hurts I tell you...

Hiya everyone! I have posted this in the 'CHAOS On Facebook, Twitter & YouTube' thread, but in case you missed out on there... Here we go. ;D **** Here's an update from Martha. She was nice enough to answer some questions when CHAOS would return. According to her, CBS told her that they would run CHAOS in the summer. Overall, her tone wasn't that too optimistic though... which was to expected. From the sound of it, it was more like wrap everything up for now and we will figure out the rest later... But I think the part that got me more worried was the fact that they were still editing Episode 1.04 - 'Two Percent' TODAY! At 4:09pm no less! Yes, it's true... She posted a picture from post-production and they had the scene of the guys that we saw in the promos. No wonder why CBS pulled Episode 1.04 out soon... probably just to give them a little more time to finish editing it all. I guess that's what you get for shuffling all the episodes around. Keep in mind, 'Two Percent' was originally Episode 1.08. [glow=red,2,300]CHAOS To Return

I have been rewatching Season 1-3 on ION TV the past few weeks, and it makes me realize how much I do miss his character there... There were some really good moment... him with Danny and of course, Smarty... Ah... Those were really the good times.

Hiya everyone! Freddy tweeted this on his Twitter page so I thought I post this on here. It looks like he and Tim are going to be busy this summer and fall. Freddy is set to star AND executive produce a movie called 'Over The Wall' this summer. It's set to be shot in Ohio. As for Tim, I read a few weeks ago that he's currently in negotiation to be in that Spieldberg 'Lincoln' movie there. I have to go dig that article up there. In the meantime though, here's the latest Freddy news, which he had been hinting at not a few weeks ago. [glow=red,2,300]Freddy News[/glow]1. Freddy Rodiguez on Twitter

Hiya everyone! Ah... Found it. Here's the Tim Blake Nelson news of him in the process of getting cast for Spielberg's latest 'Lincoln' movie. Filming is currently set for this upcoming fall in Virginia. [glow=red,2,300]Tim News[/glow]Steven Spielberg's Abe Lincoln Film Casts UpBy MIKE FLEMING | Thursday May 5, 2011 @ 7:05pm EDT LOS ANGELES, CA (May 5, 2011) - Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, John Hawkes, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill and Joseph Cross are in negotiations to join the cast of DreamWorks Studios' "Lincoln," it was announced today by DreamWorks partners Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider. Also in negotiations to join the film are David Costabile, Byron Jennings, Dakin Matthews, Boris McGiver, Gloria Reuben, Jeremy Strong, and David Warshofsky. This group joins the previously announced casting of Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field in the Spielberg directed film about the 16th President of the United States. Based on the best-selling book, Team of Rivals, by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, the screenplay has been written by the Pulitzer Prize winner, Tony Award winner, and Academy Award nominated writer Tony Kushner. It will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg. The film will focus on the political collision of Lincoln and the powerful men of his cabinet on the road to abolition and the end of the Civil War. Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones will play Thaddeus Stevens, a Republican leader and powerful congressman from Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives. Stevens was a staunch supporter of abolishing slavery and was critical to writing the legislation that funded the American Civil War. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, known for his roles in "Inception," "(500) Days of Summer," and next year's "The Dark Knight Rises," will take on the role of Robert Todd Lincoln, eldest son of President Lincoln and the only one to live past his teenage years. Other announced cast will take on various supporting roles in the film. Doris Kearns Goodwin won her Pulitzer Prize for “No Ordinary Time,” the story of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and the home front in World War II. Kushner's prize was for his play “Angels in America,” which later became an Emmy Award-winning television special. He had previously worked with Spielberg on “Munich” for which he was nominated for an Oscar in the Adapted Screenplay category. Filming is expected to begin in the fall of 2011 in Virginia for release in the fourth quarter of 2012 through Disney’s Touchstone distribution label.Source: Deadline

Hiya everyone! I posted this in the 'CHAOS on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube' thread. I thought I bring this over here as well. Whoa... Breaking news everyone! Eric and James just have tweeted today that 'CHAOS' is back THIS Saturday, May 28, 2011 with back-to-back episodes, starting at 8pm. Whoa... That's quite sudden news if you ask me... and not mention a bit last minute on top of it being 'Memorial Weekend' this weekend. If it hadn't been for the guys' tweets, I don't know if anyone would have known about it. Right now... There's nothing of any sort of promotion going on from CBS, both online or on the air. And I'm not sure what CBS is trying to do here... but all of this seems so very sudden to me. Sure, the sweeps are officially over and the 2010-2011 has officially ended today but I still thought that the show would come back sometime in June... not like roughly a week later after sweeps ends. It makes me wonder if that 'poll' has anything to do with it. Hmm! Anyhoo... On a more interesting note though... I do find it interesting that CBS is putting 'CHAOS' on Saturday night now. If you have been following the '2011-2012 Network Upfronts' thread, you will know that CBS is trying to relaunch Saturday night again for next fall season. They do have an exisiting comedy show 'Rules of Engagnment' lined up for 8pm while the rest is still open for comedy and crime repeats. So... Who knows... It's not the ideal timeslot for 'CHAOS', but there's a 'slim' chance... a good 'slim' chance for it to build an audience at the 9pm timelsot. Anyhoo, here are the guys' tweets for now! What a perfect birthday present for Eric. Hehe! I will update this post accordingly as I go check on some things around. In the meantime though, spread the word out... 'CHAOS' is back, baby!!! CBS Schedule[/glow]All right... I looked around and so far, the only site that has 'CHAOS' on the CBS schedule is the CBS site itself. And from the looks of it, they will pick up where they last left of... meaning 2 NEW back-to-back episodes this Saturday, May 28, 2011 starting at 8pm. Then next Saturday, they will air only 1 episode of 'CHAOS' at 8pm. Interestingly enough, the only episode they have ready to go is Episode 1.04 - 'Two Percent' based on the episode description. We do know that they will air Episode 1.05 - 'Mole', but no description for that... and the following week we got nothing except for the listing of the show. You can really tell that this was just a recent addition there. Anyhoo, I took some screenshot of the CBS schedule for Saturday, May 28, 2011 and June 04, 2011... So you can see what I'm talking about. "]Source: CBS Schedule

Hiya everyone! YAY! TV Guide has finally updated the 'CHAOS' site with new listing for this upcoming Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 8pm and 9pm! Wohoo!!! Seriously... Now I'm totally psyched now... and I just checked earlier and didn't see any updates. And fast forward 2 hours later, it's there... although no details given for the episodes set to air that night. And you know what though... This deserves to put into a 'Smarty' fic! LOL! I can see Sam going crazy with this today's news... while driving Martin crazy... I will definitely have to write that out. Hiya everyone! It looks like airing the 'Core Fortitude' episode finally caught everyone's attention about the whole mess that CBS has created with the episode order. In this week's TV Guide's 'Ask Matt' column, 2 questions or rather complains were sent to him about it. Personally, if you ask me... I'm not really buying into the Matt's explanation of CBS wanting to air a stronger episode first to promote the show. 'Core Fortitude' was a lot stronger episode than 'Song Of The North' which should have aired as Episode 1.02 as originally planned. [glow=red,2,300]Season 1
Out Of Order[/glow]Today's News: Our Take Ask Matt: Killing Finale Fallout, Thrones, Glee Changes and More!Jun 27, 2011 10:32 AM ET by Matt Roush Question: Actually, this is more of a jeer — to CBS for its bewildering burning-off of Chaos. It's not a serialized show, but the character arcs have continuity. Or at least, they would, if CBS would air the episodes in the right order. Last weekend, we got to see Rick meet Adele, which means it should have been the second episode, as they've been becoming friends and started dating already (although not in that order — which isn't a comment on their love lives, but another consequence of CBS's randomization). This show should come with a road map. — Jon Matt Roush: I would normally say to consider yourself lucky that these episodes aired at all, given how quickly Chaos was yanked from the spring schedule. But clearly no one's paying attention to quality control. You're not the only one complaining. Read on. Question: Why do networks show series out of (production) order? I've been watching Chaos this summer (I know it's canceled), but the episodes are so out-of-order from the show's chronology that watching the episodes is very disjointed and disappointing. CBS also had issues with showing $#*! My Dad Says out of order. Can you explain any rationale the networks have for doing this? Or are they just making mistakes? One of my pet peeves is when I feel like network executives seem to think we're stupid and won't notice these kinds of things. — Erik Matt Roush: In the case of Chaos, I think it's fair to say the network probably doesn't care. If they do (but I can't imagine why), then they're being incredibly sloppy about it, and I'm sure the show's creative team and studio aren't happy about this, either. But in some cases, a show's episodes may be aired out of production order if the network feels a certain episode is particularly strong and promotable — this most frequently happens during a sweeps period — although there are executives from both the studio and network side who are supposed to be keeping an eye on matters like continuity. There have been shows (the most infamous example being Joss Whedon's Firefly, whose pilot episode didn't even air first) that have been irreparably damaged by this practice, and it's almost always the network's fault. Hiya everyone! Now this is interesting. Brett Ratner just closed a new overall deal with 20th Century FOX Television... and from the looks of it, Martha Haight is out as President of his production company Rat TV. I guess the whole 'CHAOS' mess brought it on... It certainly wouldn't surprise me if it did. On another note, Deadline does mention that Brett only directed 2 TV Pilots with FOX. One was 'Prison Break'... and the other as you all can guess is 'CHAOS'. Not sure what that will mean but I thought I post this since they do mention 'CHAOS' in this. **** Brett Ratner Signs New Overall Deal With 20th TV, Taps Chris Conti As PresidentBy NELLIE ANDREEVA | Wednesday August 10, 2011 @ 5:23pm PDT EXCLUSIVE: Director-producer Brett Ratner has closed a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he has been based for the past 7 years. He is being joined by former NBC development executive-turned-producer Chris Conti, who will serve as president of Ratner's Rat TV. "It's impossible not to love Brett," 20th TV chairman Dana Walden said. "He is a great entertainer, has such love for the business and has the most commercial sense of any creative person I've ever worked with." She praised Ratner for directing the pilot for the Fox drama Prison Break, which "helped reestablish what the 20th Century Fox TV brand is around the world." But for the past 7 years, Ratner has directed only one other 20th TV pilot that has gone to series, CBS' short-lived CIA dramedy Chaos. He has developed and produced a total of 3 series, Prison Break, Chaos and ABC's Women's Murder Club. That is mainly because Ratner has been busy working on a wide range of other projects, from directing and producing features, to producing documentaries and TV specials to now producing the Academy Awards. Bringing a seasoned development executive like Conti is expected to keep development and production at Rat TV going full-speed even when Ratner is not around. "Chris is bringing a lot of formidable relationships in the community and will be able to focus Brett in a meaningful and successful way," Walden said. Following a 15-year stint at NBC, rising from a page to head of drama development, Conti segued into producing in 2005 with a deal at the network's sister studio. While at NBC, he had taken pitches from Ratner but didn't know him personally until the two were recently introduced. "He wanted to grow his company and make it close to what Jerry Bruckheimer and John Wells have built," Conti said. At the same time I was getting frustrated schlepping along without a company and not having a partner." He and Ratner are already meeting with writers and are expected to focus on 3-5 drama ideas this development season, gradually expanding into comedy and reality. As for Ratner's duties as an Oscar producer, Walden said that they will not impact Rat TV's development, especially now that Conti is on board. Directing-wise, Ratner won't be able to helm an hourlong pilot because he will be in the final stages of Oscar preparations but could direct a half-hour pilot after the Academy Awards. At Rat TV, Conti is replacing former president Martha Haight who has since loved to CBS TV Studios to run Mark Harmon's company. Ratner recently produced hit feature comedy Horrible Bosses, Showtime's Nick Cannon: Mr. Show Biz special and PBS' American Masters: Woody Allen documentary. His next movie as a director, comedy Tower Heist, opens in November. Source: DeadlineAnd here's the Hollywood Reporter coverage on it. **** Brett Ratner Inks Overall Deal with 20th Century Fox TelevisionFormer NBC development executive Chris Conti will serve as president of the director-producer's production company. August 10 8:49 PM 8/10/2011 by Lesley Goldberg Brett Ratner has inked a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. As part of the deal, former NBC development executive Chris Conti has been tapped as president of Ratner’s production company, Rat TV, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Ratner has been busy on the feature film side but has developed and executive produced such series as Chaos, Prison Break and Women’s Murder Club. His recent credits include producing features Horrible Bosses and Catfish, and directing such films as Rush Hour 3 and X-Men: The Last Stand. He’s also producing the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Hong Kong Phooey, with Eddie Murphy, as well as the Academy Awards.
