Hiya everyone! I thought I post this in a different thread for easy access. As you all know, CBS has been making a serious mess... and I mean a serious mess in airing the episodes for Season 1. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes it just plain drives me nuts especially when it's sometimes very obvious that one episode should have aired before another one. Anyhoo, I thought I post this... The first list will be the episode order according to production schedule and release of the sides. The second list will be according to how CBS has been airing the episodes, which is a quite a dozy itself. At leas this will come in handy when all the episodes are aired and we can actually watch everything IN order. [glow=red,2,300]Season 1 Episode Order

Hiya everyone! Just letting you guys know that the list has been updated accordingly. At least once we get to the later episodes, there's very little shift/gap between the episodes. But still... It's still a mess that CBS has made. Oh, I almost forgot to mention this... Do take note that Episode 1.01 was originally called 'Core Fortitude'. Now, Episode 1.08 is called 'Core Fortitude' while Episode 1.01 is called 'Pilot'.

Hiya everyone! All right... I have updated the 2 lists above with the latest updates from the CBS Press Express site. Now here are a few things I thought was worth bringing up. 1. 'Core Fortitude' - I'm just going to go with what we have gotten in terms of spoilers and put this as the last episode they filmed. Although, I think it's really a toss up between this episode and Episode 1.12 - 'Proof Of Life'. They may have switched things around for that time there when they shot those two last episodes. 2. 'Season/Series Finale' - And speaking of the last episode for the season, I think it's interesting to note that there's NOT mentioning of that anywhere in the press releases. And I mean... nothing, nada... zip... The press release for the last episode just read like any other episode. From my personal experience, usually that's the first thing that the network announced when they released those press releases just to get everyone hype over it. I mean... Considering how CBS has been treating 'CHAOS' so far, shouldn't THAT be the first thing they would do and announce the final episode of the show? 3. CBS vs. NBC - While we're at it, I thought I bring this up as well. I will post this in the ratings thread as well. You guys may or may not remember how not a few days ago I was saying that I find it weird if not a little odd that NBC decided to premiere one of their late midseason drama shows on a Saturday night? How 'CHAOS' suddenly got competition that night? Well, guess what? CBS must have gotten wind of it as well, especially since the original plan was to schedule 2 new episodes of 'CHAOS' on the July 4th weekend. Talk about headache there... I mean... One minute, they don't care about 'CHAOS'... and the next, they DO care? Either way, it looks like CBS will have 'CHAOS' go against NBC's 'Friends with Benefits' on Saturday, June 25, 2011 with 2 new back-to-back episodes... probably just to see if 'CHAOS' can beat the new show.

I was looking in the press bundles page for June 14: www.cbspressexpress.com/div.php/bundlesand some of the links to Word (.doc) files for the press releases contain what looks like original episode numbers. Also the page at futoncritic.com has embedded episode numbers (not sure how they got that but it corresponds to the ones on the Chaos wiki page). www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/chaos/listings/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_(TV_series)For instance, it shows that Defending Sophia has 107 and I know from other sources that that was the original number. Also from other sources I knew Mole was originally 104, Remote Control 105. This is therefore consistent with what Wiki and FutonCritic.com show as original numbers. Anyway, the press release (.doc version) for Core Fortitude has the number "101" so makes me wonder if that was the original number. Any chance "Core Fortitude" was actually supposed to be the 2nd episode and pilot was "100" or something (not 101)?

Actually, based on the actual script pages... a big thanks to Jenn for providing those to us ... Episode 1.01 was actually called 'Core Fortitude'. At least that's what I recall... unless my memory is off. In fact, the original discussion page for Episode 1.01 was labeled 'Core Fortiude' until recently when I had to update it. I think somehow along the line, they decided to 'save' the episode title for another episode when they decided to call Episode 1.01 - 'Pilot'... which I think was what happened. As for the rest... all the information I have gotten from Jenn via the Spoiler section since she actually got the chance to read the production sides that was available to us with the original episode title and number... hence the first list following the production list. I think the only episode that was missing from the list was Episode 1.13. And as for 'Core Fortitude' being originally scheduled as the second episode... I highly doubt it. If that had been the case, then I think we would have knoww about it via production sides. But it wasn't the case since the second episode was labeled accordingly. To my experience, the Futon Critic only posed official press releases from various network sides. So whatever CBS posts, that's what Futon Critic will post. No questions asked. As for Wiki... Well, it's Wiki... and you know how questionable that can be since anyone can post on Wiki. Any info posted on there aren't always 100% accurate. And as for the CBS doc. pages... Yeah... I noticed that too last night when I worked on posting stuff on here. If you ask me, it looks like CBS made a mess out of everything... Despite all of that though, you know what my biggest concern is? Usually, from my past experience with other shows, usually you don't see and get any production sides for the last episode of the season... unless the show has been on for a few years. The fact that we didn't see any sides for Episode 1.13 makes me seriously wonder if 'Core Fortitude' was originally planned as the 'Season/Series' Finale... which in a way would make sense. And by that I mean is... them using the 'Core Fortitude' title from the 'Pilot' for the 'Season/Series' Finale script. After all, 'Core Fortitude' was originally the title for the first episode... It would only be fitting for it to be the last episode for the season... like coming into full circle you know. And the description for 'Core Fortitude' would fit the bill for it... after all, Rick was hired to spy on the guys... and coming back to that for the last episode of the season would come to full circle. Now that CBS messed it up... and put it as Episode 1.08... *sighs* Well, I suppose we will see how it goes this Saturday, huh?

I hope when we see the eps the original order will become apparent.
And with the June 14 press releases out now, hopefully that means CBS is committed to showing them all. I was very worried they'd pull it again as Saturday & no advertising has predictably resulted in bad ratings.
Forgot to say earlier, I certainly agree that CBS has made a serious mess of the show by the strange reordering. It boggles the mind. It was like CBS wasn't satisfied by killing it with a late premiere and terrible time-slot. They just had to do it that little bit extra gratuitous violence.
I can not imagine what their motive was, but I'm not a TV exec, so what do I know. Has anyone ever got an explanation of how reordering could have been a good thing?

I was very worried they'd pull it again as Saturday & no advertising has predictably resulted in bad ratings. bg_Roman! Uh huh... and I can't help but think that NBC premiering their own late mid-season show may have saved 'CHAOS' from that particular fate. I mean... Before that, they were just burning off episodes, but all of the sudden... the moment NBC announced that they are airing their own mid-season show... with 2 back-to-back episodes no less... CBS is suddenly all interested in 'CHAOS' again? I think the fact that they scheduled 2 back-to-back episodes on the same night speaks volume right there. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that 'CHAOS' will beat that new NBC show. As for advertisers... I don't know how things are over there in Canada, but personally... I think the advertisers have improved greatly whenever they moved 'CHAOS' to Saturday. Before that, it was nothing but car commercials and whatnot... very, very out of touch to the average consumer if you ask me... But now... It's various food commecials and whatnot, like McDonald's. Personally, I think those ads are better and more in touch with the average consumer! Seriously, seeing Eric eat and talk about food... and then getting hit by those commercials makes me want to go to the nearest McDonald's! LOL! LOL! Yeah... Sometimes that's how I feel too... It wasn't enough to put them in a bad timeslot, no... they had to do a bit of extra gratuitous violence to the show just to make sure everyone is going to turn off... But I think that's were the surprise was, fans STILL keep coming back for more! ;D And I wish I knew why CBS did the whole order mess... I have to admit... this is the first time I actually see a network purposedly doing this to a show. Usually, they shuffle 1 or 2 episodes around without serious continuity error... But this... this is just mindboggling to me. They don't promote the show properly. They gave it a bad timeslot to premiere before yanking it without thought... and then they butcher the episode order for good measure. You're right... It's a bit extreme when they could have easily yanked the show off schedule for good. And they wonder why the show is doing to so badly in ratings in the first place?

It is really amazing anyone is watching the show anymore when, on top of the reordering nightmare, they brought the show back on a different night with hardly any advance notice.
And knowing that what CBS considers abysmal ratings might have been satisfactory on another network is so frustrating.
Yes, I'll get Canadian commercials. I didn't notice what they are because I skip over them. I will have a look during Saturday's ep.

Hiya everyone! All right... I just finished watching tonight's episode... and as I already have mentioned it in the discussion thread, I'm very relieved to find out that Episode 1.08 is really supposed to be Episode 1.02. So thank god for that. That was really my biggest concern there... especially with CBS having done a number on creating 'chaos' to the show's episode order. I have gone ahead and update the list above accordingly... So I think we should have the correct order for Season 1 now.

Although something tells me that CBS did that on purpose so that they could scrape off the show for good. But based on the overwhelming positive reviews/feedback left on the official 'CHAOS' Facebook... Well, I suppose that's kinda hard to ignore. You know what is funny... Tonight's show was actually sponsored by Windows 7. Who would have thought, huh... I mean... In the past, they really didn't have any sponsor and I don't think... at least I don't recall... that the Pilot had a sponsor. I may be wrong since it has been a while... But tonight... Windows 7 definitely sponsored them and you usually don't get a big company like to sponsor a supposed low rated show unless there's something in it for them... you know... Overall, tonight's commercials were once again more in touch with the average consumers... lots of food commercials, i.e. Danon, KFC and various tablet ads. In fact, I think I only count like 2 or so car commercials. I'm curious to know how the Canadian commercials are over there... I wonder if Windows 7 sponsored tonight's show over there as well.
