I was thinking and Eric always plays the same type of role . A desesperate , lonely man who falls in love with the wrong person ( in this case, a prostitute hired by Jeff to blackmail the Major), looking for the love in the wrong place. Can´t a handsome , bright , smart, good man falls in love with a normal woman? . For me , it is difficult to believe that Teddy need a escort woman to find the love, he looks pathetic . Similar thing happened with Without a Trace .
I think that Eric likes suffer in love affairs, but I would like to see him in a better role , married with a nice woman or in a stable relationship .
Or it is possible the writters don´t know what do with Teddy
