This Marks the 100th Episode of the Hit Drama Series
Eriq La Salle ("ER"), Lisa Gay Hamilton ("The Practice") And Michael Beach ("Third Watch," "Brothers & Sisters") Guest Star
"The Calm Before" -- The team searches for a family man who has been emotionally and financially haunted as a result of the horrors of living through and being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Sunday, Oct. 29 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Peter Markle directed the episode written by Jan Nash, one of the series' executive producers.
This marks the 100th episode of the hit drama series. Eriq La Salle ("ER"), Lisa Gay Hamilton ("The Practice") and Michael Beach ("Third Watch") guest star, respectively, as the missing man, his wife and his cousin/temporary employer.
Aaron's wife, Sherise (Hamilton), says she last saw Aaron (La Salle) the previous morning when he left their Queens, N.Y. motel room for a temporary construction job in New Jersey, after just being let go from his cousin's (Beach) construction site job. However, the team learns that Aaron, whose truck was found abandoned and burned, actually quit his job and lied about having work in New Jersey. Wondering what else Aaron may have been hiding from his wife, the agents entertain theories of foul play and suicide as well as the possibility that he chose to run away from his mounting financial woes.

I unlocked the thread because here in my time zone, MST, they aren't showing Cold Case or Without a Trace. They are showing Glengary Glenn Ross, which while a great film, is not what I wanted to see. Did it air anywhere or did CBS decide to hold off on airing it until November aka sweeps month?

I just read your post and flipped over to my CBS station and they are showing the Cold Case that was supposed to air earlier this evening (8pm and it's now 11:24 pm). There was no annoncement that it was going to be delayed but I guess I am going to have to stay up to see if they show WaT. If they do air it at midnight that seems like a really crappy nod to their 100th episode.

That really stinks Jenny! Not everyone will be up late to happen upon the episode that late at night. It was on here in the Philadelphia area. It started at 10:20PM. I really enjoyed this episode! There was a great supporting cast, so many familiar faces.

it came on at the regular time here (9 central), but my baby was sick and cranky, thus making me cranky and so I went to bed. But I can always catch it in a rerun.

I'm in Canada and was surprised when my daughter told me that CBS was showing WAT at 9PM central time (I've been watching it on Mondays on Global TV...sheesh!). There was a bit of a delay but it finally aired at about 9:30 p.m. after Cold Case. Sadly, I fell asleep 15 mins into the show...I was EXHAUSTED! Thank goodness I can redeem myself tonight...hehehe.

Well, the West coast was fortunate enough to get it at its regular scheduled time. As for the show, I thought it was fantastic and moving, which I cannot say for the rest of the shows this season (except for maybe Stolen). All of the supporting cast did a splendid job and the plot kept me interested until the very end. I loved how Jack said one of my favorite sayings at the beginning "If it wasn't for bad luck, this guy would have no luck at all." I also liked how he pointed out the dismal disgrace of the New Orleans situation at the end when he was talking to Sam. And Martin? He was looking hot this episode. Elena's outfit was cute, but I was thinking it was a bit too trendy for the job. Two nitpicks: I thought the Fight Club part was a bit farfetched. Two, I thought it was silly that Jack went down to the basement and moved the beams to help free Aaron. Doesn't everyone know, especially a person in civil service, that when a part of a building collapses you shouldn't move anything because it is most likely unstable? You call the fire department to make the rescue. The fact that Jack moved one of the beams that was supporting the falling ceiling really irked me. But anyway, great episode hope the rest of the season looks up from here.

I thought it was pretty good. I really like Eriq La Salle so I was happy to see him in anything. Plus, I agree that EC looked so cute - and they actually dressed him in decent clothes! I actually agree with all your comments. I liked that they brought focus to the mess that New Orleans was left in and the complete lack of adequate response. I liked Jack's comment about luck too - especially because sometimes I think the same thing about him. However, I was extremely bugged that Jack started moving stuff around in a house that he *knows* is a complete disaster area and that he didn't immediately call Viv or Martin to let him know that he found the MP. I mean they had the house literally falling apart with him and the MP but since he didn't call it in, Viv and Martin wouldn't have known if they had been seriously hurt. I know they just did it for dramatic effect and all that but still. Grr....this reminds me of "Stolen" and the engraving on the wooden door. That kind of stuff completely pulls me out of the show's story. Overall, pretty good episode but I have to admit that I still find myself wanting at the end. But hey, that's me.

So, nothing really personal again huh? Watching the new episodes of Lost (This season rocks so so so much. I was ready to give up on the show but the first episodes were amazing piece of writing. I can't get over Every man for himself, it was wednesday and I still can't get over with. It was so angst and sad. Crazy Others!), a show very plot heavy still very personal, made me realize that WAT writers can't get character development right and it's a pity because people won't care enough to invest time on WAT. They may watch, but it will never be cult or anything.
Sorry about me being off topic. This is just frustration or maybe I'm too biased with Lost lately. Tell me about fantastic episodes!

Ok since others are talking...I thought it was an ok episode...probably not what i was looking for on a 100th episode. It definetely was another episode that focused a lot on Jack or at least he was a main part of most scenes.
I guess I am just so frustrated with the lack of M/S that even though the episode are OK I find myself frustrated at the end by the complete lack of my favorite two characters. They are the reasons i started watching the show in the first place so the 2 seasons of no m/s has been frustrating to say the least. They don't necessarily have to be together but it is driving me that there is no flirtations or anything...they are hardly in the same scenes. I guess i will have to keep waiting....

Hmm, I found the familiar actors took away from the story. No doubt they're great actors, but I guess I'm used to people I don't recognize. It makes it easier to believe they're actually missing Although my major criticism again this week is wardrobe. It was....awful. Except Martin! He's dressed better than ever. I'm not sure what they were thinking for Elena. Good to see that Sam took a shower, did her hair, and put on some appropriate clothes though. And Viv rocked Sam's brown leather jacket from 'Shadows' . Are they raiding each other's closets now? Hmm, I'm sad that the most I feel like commenting on is wardrobe. I'll admit though, I didn't really watch the episode. It was on. I kept looking at the TV but never really got engaged in it. Except the scene with the little boy. That was well done. But it was more like background noise to me. Once again, a "Meh" from me. Didn't feel like a 100th episode. I'm sure it was good if you actually watch it, but just kinda half-watching it doesn't help. And yeah, no character development again. Unless you count Danny's incredibly awkward attempt at a compliment to Elena. I thought he was a ladies man? Jenn, you nailed it. It always leaves me wanting too. Like it's unfinished... but not in a good way that sparks my interest... Just plain incomplete. Something's missing kinda thing...
