The strike made me realize I was losing interest on the show because I can't say I truly missed it like I missed The Big Bang Theory or NCIS. Still, I'm happy we'll get to see new eppies and I can't wait to see how they're gonna fuc... I mean how they're gonna deal with Sam's pregnancy storyline. I hope is Martin but for all the good reasons so it has to take some time. It can't be like the first time because now there's a baby. Sam should be mature enough to realize her happy-go-lucky days are over. She's a mother now...or will be (I don't know how the writers are gonna deal with the fact that Poppy already had the baby). Now, I don't want to be mean but the fact that she's having a baby that's the result of a ONS speaks volumes about her character but I won't go there because that's been discussed for waaay too long here. I'll just say that if she didn't want a house and a fence and a dog and kids, a.k.a.: marriage and family, and she treated like crap the guy that would have given her those things she didn't want, a.k.a.: Martin, now for things to work with Martin we should see Sam changing and I mean a hell of a change, the change we haven't seen. I cannot tell the difference between the Sam that said she didn't want to have 2.2 kids and the Sam that's having a baby. Ok, too much rambling.

I have to say that I'm falling right in line with the hype....I finally deleted the two M/S episode hold outs on my DVR before reading the comments from this article. Even though, it felt cathartic to delete them, I will be watching when it airs April 3rd. Why am I such a glutton for punishment? Btw, that is a rhetorical question. I don't really want to know.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I've been jonesing for CSI, NCIS and other shows like nobodies business but I was actually relieved to not have to worry about what TPTB were going to do to WAT. Now that its coming back and will be aired opposite LOST I freely admit that after seeing the stellar stuff on CSI I am going to flip to ABC and concern myself with the happenings of the Oceanic 6. I will still read/provide spoilers and write my safe, protected world fanfic but watching live, I doubt it. I will most likely record and wait to see what you all have to say before watching. (Or if a certain someone keeps me in the loop I will know if its worth a watch. ) I can live without MS (I blame PM for that) but its the complete disregard for the characters of Martin, Danny, Viv and Elena that kills me. Everytime it looks like they are getting a chance to come into their own and grow it either gets dropped or somehow they make Jack the new focus. I love Jack as much as the next guy but he's better when they let the other characters get better, too. Why did he have to be central to the Elena/Carlos thing? It should have been the time to let Danny shine. Why does he get PTSD moments but Martin only gets a lame drug addiction with no discussion in regards to the shooting? Why does he have poignant moments with the victim of the sex trade case rather than letting us see why Viv is so passionate about making it her cause? When it comes to Sam why is he...oh, never mind, we know why. But the other stuff keeps me asking why? Why? WHY? It just cracks my skull with wondering and breaks my heart with lost potential. Honestly, I think its this board that kept me tuning in after season four. Although I think I may be spending too much time here, I seem to have gone off on a Stephell style rant. Sorry.

Hi, Jenn, Stephell here..rantless cause so many here have already heard mine or provided their own or ... it is so awful. I feel somewhat relieved in that I have company in my misery over the lost potential of the show but I also feel despair that we're all stuck in this blackhole of loss... I deleted myself off every other board that dealt with this show (um, that was two others) but this one and will come here to find out if the show is worth watching and read spoilers to help know if I should even bother caring. Fanfiction...yep, reading it is great, writing it is great and who knows...I may continue to do both as time continues. Like the rest, I'm looking forward to new Criminal Minds and CSI (that's a show that seems to have kept 'their eye on the ball' for eight soon to be nine seasons --- [mournful sigh inserted here] I'm not jonesing for anything WaT and yep, I blame PM and TPTB for ALP and all that and what their characters do...those characters are better when the others shine and they shine with them. Jenn, you're so right and Rofy...I don't think you need to worry IF they F***up, it's just when.

A huge DITTO to all of it, except the Elena part. I think that her arrival is part of the problem. It's interesting that ABC is positioning "Lost" opposite WAT. I think that they smell blood. "Lost" is in my top 5 favorite shows, so there's no question I'll be watching it while I tape WAT.

Jenn,Laurel, Rofy, and others, You guys make me feel so sad and I wish I could offer some words or something to make you feel alittle better. I know I share many, if not all, of opinions on why WAT is no longer the compelling show it used to be but unfortunately I will still watch because I am a hope addict (some of you may may sub. heartache addict) I have watched for so long, that I still need to see what happens and really hope the strike will produce something better. This might be my age showing. I am older than many of you and life always has a resolution of some kind that has some kind of purpose. Anyway, I just had to write because I have been on this board for long enough to get to know you alittle and to like you alot and it just made me so sad to hear all that despair. I guess I don't like to see peopleI come to like to be sad. Hope I have added alittle boost to your hearts with my ramblings.

Oh! No, we're not that bad. Seriously. Jenn and I have this dream with a Golden Retriever called Pancho. Ask Jenn for more details...
Now, really, I will watch it no matter what. I watched the first 12 seasons of ER which means I'm really loyal to the shows I like. If I could get over the lack of Lucy/Carter action, Carter/Abby lack of love and Carter's departure God, knows I shall survive lack of Smartiness.
Besides, I thikn ALP is way too hot and I love seeing him all cranky and with his legendary disregard for the rules. That makes him even hotter. Plus Eric making me drool and Enrique adding something to the mix... trust me sweetie, they have to do it much, much, much worse than now for me to quit WAT.

Although I don't like the turn it has taken, I am still invested in the team - make that the original team. I think it is still a good show even it is not as good as it used to be. And, I hope TPTB will soon realize what the fans are thinking and react with better shows. And, will take the team members back to who they were - the people we loved to watch. Jack's vengeful, violent ways are very out of character. Sam as a mother will, I am sure, be out of character. I cannot say how much I hate that pregnancy story, when so many stories have been dropped with no end. So, I block those scenes out of my mind. As much as I like viv, I just can't get into that storyline. I would rather see Viv involved with the MP stories and being the one who keeps Jack, Danny and Martin in line like only she can. In fact, I am telling myself to stop reading these postsm although I respect everyones opinion and decisions about the show, and just hang on to hope!

Man...And I thought it was just me.
I missed the last two new eppys for WaT and I would be completely lying if I said I've missed the show dearly since the strike. Oh well. Hopefully when it comes back I can get back in the swing of things.

Hi, Jenn, I blame PM and TPTB for ALP and all that '(88[/q7uote] I don't understand what this means? What do you blame PM for? Not being critical, just don't understand.

OK I'm not stephell but I think the girl from the bitter barn means that PM is always talking about Jack and ALP or about ALP and Jack. It's like there's no one else on the show besides Sam and Jack and TPTB kind of support that idea. Take a look at the last two seasons and you'll see that the most important storylines (at least the ones that were more or less continued in a more or less neatly way) were the ones that dealt with Jack or Sam's problems. Viv's heart surgery, MARTIN GETTING SHOT -HELLO!- Martin becoming an addict, Martin in rehab, Danny's brother, Danny becoming a lawyer and a long etc (if you give me time, I can make a looooooooooooooooooong list) those are all interesting storylines and They just... "forgot" about them. And the forget thing started way before the strike, so no excuses for that. And no, I didn't forget about Sam and Martin's storyline being butchered. It's just that I think it's already been discussed here... I think. As for remaining loyal... No girls, you're not the only ones. Me, my mom and my five dogs we're all loyal to WaT just like you.

to be fair, it seems that the sam-is-a-murderer bomb has also been given the rug sweeping treatment.
going back on topic, if they mean martin to help sam out (which i seriously doubt), they better make it a realistic reunion!

At this point of the show ( we're only watching the 5th season in France ), I don't think that the "helper" will be Martin ( even if I wish it ). ALP was mentionning ath the beginning of the season that there will be a clash between him and Sam ( or something like that ). Soc maybe J is going to be a little too intense in the Brian/Sam relationship...

I for one am waiting desperately for my favourite show to return, WAT, always has been always will be, no matter what. I have said it before, maybe I am just too for giving and can see past all the wrongs some fans say are unforgivable. I see WAT as a show that has stuck to it's guns and made a show about missing persons and not about the main characters on the show. I understand that the fans (like you guys) are wanting more about these great characters that have been created, but, I for one enjoy waiting and watching and trying to see if I am reading their reactions to cases correctly. Yes, yes, yes, there have been a few storylines recently (and I haven't seen much of S6 yet) that have been out of character, but, TV shows tend to do this to add a little drama every now and then, and at the rate that WAT moves on their main characters we may have to wait a little longer to see any resolve. If you start asking me what about this and that I could give you my opinion, but, that is all it would be. Just my opinion on how I percieve the way the characters are developing, and we all know how different our opinions can be on the same subject. I will say one thing and that is that Martin is so over Sam (IMO), therfore I feel I dont need him to react nuch to Sams pregnancy or even to her much except professionally. Anyway, this is just me, I LOVE WAT. I just can't help myself.

Rude of Eric to do that to us but at the same time, kinda gives a little ray of hope! I don't know where Eric stands on the Martin/Samantha relationship anymore so it's hard to say if he said that to tease us because he's happy about it or just for fun because he can and has the world as a forum Either way, I just want to know what's going on! Being kept in suspense sucks and yeah, I'm tired of it Really it's just good to hear about what will be coming up. Not that I'm any happier about the Sam pregnancy storyline before I went away but now I think I can tolerate it a bit more. Just don't want to be toyed around with it
