I think EC has come to a point in his career where he's happy with his role. Yes, he had some almost hits which should have skyrocketed his career but they fizzled. He's a family man foremost and career second. If you read some of his articles and watch interviews this comes across. He'd love to have the lead role but since it didn't pan out I think he's happy with 'Martin' roles. In a way that's better. It gives him family time and still the income he wants. When he was doing 'Now and Again' he talked about hours in the gym and being away from his family. He even mentions being able to have a life where he can go out in public in some of his interviews. There's something to be said for that. When you can't leave home without being mobbed and you fear for your family's welfare is it worth it? Money is great and fame is too but I see him as the sort who puts his family first. The reason we never see pictures of his kids, he won't allow it. They aren't a part of his TV life. I think he'd take a lead role but if it doesn't come, he's fine to be in the background.

Thanks Mame! That was nice to read and even better to look at. Although, I will admit, I am not a fan of EC's affinity for wild print button up shirts. Fortunately, he always looks cute no matter what.

The article in OK and Watch are great. I hope that we just see more and more of Eric in written press. Thanks for the scans.

Just got my new TV Guide for the week of April 2-8th. There is a small picture of Eric sitting in a director's chair...directing the episode that will air on Sunday April 8th. In the background there is a larger picture of Jack and Sam probably doing a scene in this episode. The picture just says that Eric Close directs WAT. I don't have a scanner right now so I can't place it on here for you all to see. If someone can do this...please do. Thanks!

I received the TV Guide in a mail today. When I turned the page 1, I'm like WHOA! There's a large photo of Anthony LaPaglia and Poppy Montgomery being together doing a scene, and there's a small photo of Eric Close who directs WAT. Eric is directing? WOW! I'm really impressed! I'm sorry I don't have a scanner.
