I work in a medical lab and we start our day really early. I am half asleep when I go into the 7-11 for my coffee and daily Trenton Times. I scan the outrageuos headlines on some of the papers and I instantly woke up when I saw EC's so cute face on the front page of the Courier News. Of course I had to buy the paper and what a sweet person he is.

Very cute. Thanks for sharing. He's so cute and his face looks so excited in the pic.
I also agree that reading is huge in a child's development and imagination. My mom read to me every night as a child. Winnie the Pooh novels were my preference. She had to stop eventually when she realized that after she bookmarked the page, turned off the light and closed the door I would use my flashlight and read more of the book under the sheets. The next night the bookmark would be ahead a few chapters from where she knew we left off. *sigh* So she just left to me read by the book myself but she would ask me about the book the next morning so that was still nice.
This explains both my love of reading as well as my compulsion to read spoilers. ;D

Sweet memory, Jenn. I remember Winnie the Pooh books from my chilhood too. Loved them so much that when I had my daughter I hired a n artist to paint 1 wall as the map in the beginning of the book. Also I would like to add that you mother reading not only explains your love for reading but also your ability to write really great stories for us.

Hee, I used to do the exact same thing. Until one day my dad got home from being on call and I didn't hear the garage door go up (I was too distracted by the book!) and he caught me, and we had a very serious talk about how he used to do the same thing and that is why he now wears glasses. The idea of wearing glasses ANYTHING similar to my dad's ridiculously dorky Harry Potter-like glasses scared me into never reading in the dark again! Furthermore, I would like to say that Winnie the Pooh was my absolute favorite when I was growing up too. To this day, I still have friends who give me Winnie the Pooh memorabilia I was also went through several phases. There was the Betsy-Tacy phase, the Boxcar Children/Nancy Drew phase, the Ann Rinaldi/historical fiction phase (that coincided with my fascination with the Titanic... pre-movie too!). To get back on topic, thanks for sharing the link! It's great to see Eric having such a good time reading with the kids.

Thank you so much for the article. Eric looks so sweet. He seems as if he was really having a good time with the children. And of course he is so handsome, and he wears his wedding ring :-)

That is the picture that stood out on the newsstand and caught my sleepy eyes to just wake up and buy the paper . He lokked so good and I was so disappointed that this happened a half hour away. I would have loved to see him in person.

Eric is rooting for the Patriots! “Patriots. Often we root for the underdogs because we identify with them. But part of me wants to say to my grandkids, ‘I was alive when the New England Patriots became the Greatest Ever.’ ” — ERIC CLOSE, actor (Without a Trace)

Thanks for sharing. He's such a family focused guy. Even this idle sports question he brings back to family. I guess we'll find out on Sunday if he will have a story to share or if he will just have to talk to those future grandkids about something else.

Hahaha yeah I was thinking that today too while watching the SuperBowl. Eric is going to be so shattered! But I'm sure there are other things he can tell them, like the fact that when he was close to 40 years old he looked like he was about late 20s Hehehe he really should be proud of that!

I really am surprised he rooted for the Patriots....since he has some "closeness" to New York....remember he was born in Staten Island New York. I am not sure how long he lived there. Oh well....each to his own. I know I grew up around the DC area and even though I don't live there anymore...I still root for the Redskins.

I remember reading somewhere that tho he was born in Staten Island his family lived in at a couple of other places before settling in California. Maybe he was really young so he doesn't have NY attachments for their teams. Besides I am a Jersey girl and the Giants play in my State but I was Ok with whoever won for varios reasons.
