Only read MICHAEL so far but, as riddiculous as the Windows97 talk sounds - I mean, c'mon! I work in a State Agency in BRAZIL and I've got better! - as it is, the "When was the last time you walked into the post office and thought 'My God, I stepped into the future!'" line actually made me go LOL.
Anyhoo - that actually doesn't sound like a very bad show, but I'm not sure it is new and original. Well, CBS has proud itself on creating cop-shows over and over and making them good enough to watch. I mean, even craziness like Criminal Minds is worth of my time and this one can't be worst.
Concerns: EC has a Boy Scout face and persona. And they want him to play the new Jack Malone. I think he's a great actor, by the end of WAT he and Poppy Montgomery were the only ones holding up the text. But being honest, I'll be surprised if he can pull this off. Well, I hope he can surprise me.
As for Freddy Rodrigues, he annoys me sometimes. He just does. And this character seems close enough to annoying all by itself for them to hand the part to Freddy Rodrigues and have me enjoy it. Please, Freddy, surprise me, like in a few episodes of Six Feet Under.
Finally, I'd like to say the slash pairing of choice will probably be Billy/Michael once this show is on the run. No, I didn't pick my slash pairing already, I'm just jumping ahead of myself and saying that EEEVERY slash fangirl will be all over those two. I mean, if they're good.
Something else? Oh, yeah. I loved the title. Really, Chaos sounds very powerful.
I'll give it a try.

HAd all these Google alerts for EC but didn't read them immediately thinking they would be about the golf outing!
This is very good news. Eric has to move on and I'm not surprised it's still with CBS since he has always had a very good relationship with them - it seemed that of the WaT cast he did most to promote the showin the later Seasons.
Let's face it, while everyone hoped for a S8 of WaT most also expected it to be the last one and it was pretty obvious that even memners of this Forum were agreed the quality had dropped.
Just as EC moved on from Vin Tanner, he can move on from Martin Fitzgerald and we will get used to his new role if this transpires.
Maybe someone can enlighten me since I don't know a lot about American televison.
Am I right in thinking that similar to Warner Bros producing WaT for CBS this will be produced for them by 20th Century Fox. That might be a strike against the show.
Most sources expect there not to be many cancellations this year, leaving little room for new product and they might go for shows they will have the full rights to first.
Also, CBS is becoming known as the "crime"station because of the heavy reliance they have on that genre. Looking at the list of pilots I see some that would appear to be soapy and I am wondering is it possible they might try to break in on Brothers & Sisters success?
The cast would look to be listed in alphabetical order. Does it sound as if Eric has one of the leading roles?
Wouldn't it be ironic if Cold Case was cancelled and Chaos taken up.
I will now be watching developments eagerly.
Incidentally - what does anyone think of the title? - I don't find it that appealing.

I am so glad that EC might be back on TV every week. That was certainly good news. Micheal is a such a different character from Martin and EC does have a good boy Boy Scout face, but he has displayed a wide range of character types in his career with ease. I think he was great in Now and Again and he sure had me creeped out in a couple of movies he did. You don't have to have a hard look to be hard type of person.

LOL. One thing I'll say, it is nice to have show that takes budget-reality seriously. ;D
You're welcomed.

Well I'm one happy litltle camper! So glad to see EC has landed himself, what apppears on paper to be a good thing. Call me silly, but, I have a feeling about this one, thanks to the sides so kindly provided by Jenn.
I read most of the sides and I like these characters. Michael (EC) is not a Jack Malone clone, Billy sounds like a cheeky Scottsman and the other characters all sound believable. This show, despite it title could give NCIS a run for it's money. I supose the title could be more catchy, but, who is really going to care what it's called as long as it is a good show?
Although it is another procedural, it's not another cop show. More The A Team meets NCIS, in my opinion anyway.
Thanks everyone for the heads up on EC's new venture.

Just a teeny weeny update. Irish (yay!) actor Stephen Rea has been cast in the role of 'Higgins.' Most of you guys probably won't of heard of him because he's done a lot of theatre in Ireland, but he was nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award in 1992 for his role in 'The Crying Game'. He also had a role in 'Interview With The Vampire' with Brad Pitt (swoon!) and Tom Cruise (definitely no swoon) I think he'll make a good 'Higgins'. AND, I found out why the title of the Pilot is 'Chaos':- Clandestine And Oversight Services.
