It's going to be tough for Chaos to get a slot next Season.
According to TVbytheNumbers there's only room to premiere one new show - two if Cold Case gets cancelled.

That reminds me, what are the chances that Cold Case will get picked up? I wondered while I was surfing through the channels last night and saw Cold Case on if it would last another season, given that it survived last year's cut by the skin of its teeth (well really it sacrificed WAT to the gods of CBS to save itself). Do you think CC has done its last dance and is gone this time around? I hope Chaos does get picked up in May and will eventually find its way down here, just so I can see Eric in a different role. I've missed that dimpled grin!

A 'Questions and Answers' with CBS' Nina Tassler in the Hollywood Reporter says as much: two, maybe three drama pick-ups. Link= www.thrfeed.com/2010/03/qa-cbs-nina-tassler.htmlWe're just going to have to wait and see (and do lots of praying until May! ) That reminds me, what are the chances that Cold Case will get picked up? I'm suffering MAJOR withdrawal symptoms!!

Just following on from Erc's comments yesterday, here's the link to an interesting article about the 2010 pilot season. It explains the reasons why it's being called 'the most competitive pilot season in about 8 years.' Eric and Poppy are on a list of 'Established TV leading men/women who've signed on with Pilots'. Yay! Eric has been officially recognised as a Leading Man! Well, we always knew it, didn't we?? www.lifeonthebubble.com/files/2010-pilot-season-casting-analysis.pdf'Chaos' is filming again in Downtown Los Angeles tomorrow. Wish I was there...................

Interesting article, Bright Eyes. There are several actors who I would look forward to seeing again (sadly, William Shatner is not one of them!) Curious that some actors who are now working are also trying for pilots. Does this say something about "Numbers"? Also, Enrique is not listed and IMO he has about the same star power as Poppy. It is certainly understandable that Eric is listed as an established TV actor. I found this article yesterday. It about the system of casting for pilots. It reinforces my thinking that TPTB in tv executive land need an awakening. earlpomerantz.blogspot.com/2010/03/story-of-writer-part-30b.html

I have to admit, I always thought Eric was an established actor by the way he was listed in the opening credits of WAT in the first season. I think it used to say 'and Eric Close' and I just thought that meant that he was like a famous person already and was huge star power on the show. Whether that's the case or not, it certainly felt that way! He could lead a show easily... please let him lead a show! I beg you PTB!

I once read that lead actors are listed on opening credits at the beginning or at the end (last name on screen).

Well SM, to be honest, because of all this conflicting information, we're as confused as you are!! Let's all hope the show gets picked up and then the mystery will be solved! Thanks for the link to the photos! Pity there wasn't a picture of Eric. Wow, doesn't it take a lot of people to film a pilot?

How are all these different reports coming out from rather reliable sources? Would it be the producers trying to keep a tight lid on it until May when/if it's picked up? I'm a little bit confused with all of that. It'd be much better for the fans if they know for certain who will be playing who so they can get themselves psyched (like we would). Silly behind-the-scenes people!

Well, at least you will get to know the truth before me, so please keep me posted I've read the scripts posted here, honestly it seems to be just another series about violence, not my favorite topic, but I'm looking forward to watch Eric, I think he's a terrific actor and seems like a different person on every role. BTW, don't know if you already read this tv guide article: www.tvguide.com/News/Eric-Close-Chaos-1015539.aspx?rss=news&partnerid=spi&profileid=05, says he will play "one of the agents".

Most people think that Hawaii 5-0 and Criminal Minds 2 are lock-ins for new shows next year.
Despite lower demos than WaT achieved last year, The Good Wife has already been renewed for next Season.
This means there is just no room for Chaos although hopefully I'm wrong.

Otherwise somebody should tell me why shows with 4 o 5 millions viewers each weeks are still there while others are not. Not to talk about quality, of course. And anyway, it will probably finally prove you're right, but until then, let us hope, will you?

They could also save it to be a mid-season replacement. Or maybe they'll wise up and finally cancel CSI: Miami. If that's not the worst show on Tv, I don't know what is.

Right now, this little bit of hope is about all we got so it'd be nice to enjoy it for awhile. Thanks!
