I don't really like being first - but here goes anyway.
I did miss a little continuity however I surprisingly enjoyed the lack of any personal stuff.
The MP case started to unravel toward the end, but it really kept my interest throughout the entire episode. I felt bad for both her and Frankie.
All in all, I'd have to give this episode a thumbs up!

Okay... I guess I'm second. 10 hours after it aired and only two responses... not good. I'm with Deanne ... it was good for a while, then it fell off. The ending was not good. Jack and Martin seem okay. No residuals from last week. I actually laughed out loud during this exchange: Bad step father: You can't shoot me, I'm unarmed. Jack: You won't be when they find your body. I did get a good chuckle out of the look that Sam and Jack shared after the bad mother told them that Stacey will always be devoted to Frankie.

Just watched and it was one of my favorite MPs of this season. Only, the ending was... meh. Not that the girl died, that's fine with me, but that flying bed was cheesy and stupid. Plus, what's the whole story anyway? Did she want to do it form the beggining but that creepy guy took advantage of her before giving her to stepdaddy or she was forced into the whole thing and only accepted it by the very end?
either way, I was interested till the very end - and I was glad they didn't turn this into one of those "in other cultures, girls are objects and USA culture is the only one that's smart" plots. This kind of thing drives me crazy.
and i was cut off when the flying bed turned into stars - did I miss much?

and i was cut off when the flying bed turned into stars - did I miss much? Okay... I usually don't post until after I watch and I haven't yet but when I read "flying bed turned into stars" I was like, WHAT? I can't watch it until this weekend but I need some explanation here. LOL.

There is a shot of the dead MP and her dead boyfriend lying on a bed. The BF's mother began the ceremony to unite them forever in death.. the cops barged in, they got arrested and then there was a shot of the bed kinda rising up to the stars.. it's hard to explain.. I think they wanted to give us the feeling that they are indeed united and will be together forever.... Annie, you didn't miss anything... the screen filled with stars and then Jerry's name came up and then commercial.

Annie - you raise a very good point - I guess there was a fairly good chunk of the story that didn't make any sense. Not sure there was a point to that part...and yes the flying bed was very cheesy (sure hope that wasn't Anthony's idea...lol)

I'm glad it wasn't just me wondering "Huh? What was the torture part all about?" After it was over, I couldn't figure out where that fit in at all. Weird.
Flying bed. Weird.
Martin looked nice in his light colored suit. Any screen caps for that??

in my head, it fits if you think the creepy guy tortured her all by himself - but when the stepdad found out, there goes his k-kid... wait, kidnee-es... ees... that's probably not how it is spelled, right?

Here's my thinking on the creepy guy and the step dad. I think Step Dad paid Creepy Guy who was working for him in his butcher shop ... to take step daughter... but that's it. I don't think he wanted him to hurt her. When he found out through the video that he was torturing her .. (we found out through the roommate he was into the porn/torture stuff) he killed him and decided he had two money making kidneys to sell, so why not?

I just had a funny thought for anyone who hasn't seen the ep or even read the spoilers.... Did you ever think you would discuss missing kidney's and flying beds in a WAT ep?

This is me reading the comments and how bizarre they seem to me: It's like reading the synopsis for an episode of Supernatural... ;D ;D ;D

I was fairly interested in the episode until the end, then it just got crazy to me. I don't know... it was just weird.
I felt bad for the girl though. She had a great life ahead of her with school and art and everything, and then her boyfriend OD'd and everything fell apart. It was sad. More real life than most of the other episodes these days.
And I agree with whoever said they liked the lack of personal stuff in this episode! I'm tired of S/J drama all the time. It was nice to watch an episode go on without feeling like the writers are forcing personal character drama down my throat.
